NEW GAME PLAY concept I'd like to see if anyone agrees with me

I've been playing league of legends for a while now and everything is great. However I have an idea for a different game play. Instead of the normal 5v5 or 3v3 or 1v1. Why dont we got more than two teams in it?! Although this does require a new map, I think it would be awesome! A 1v1v1 game or 2v2v2 game or even 3v3v3! Imagine that! There would be so much fun and chaos all at the same time, the competition would be great! Two teams are fighting and one comes in near the end to try and finish both off or two teams fight one and then duel each other, possibilities are endless! I think this'd be great, you could see how you and your bestfriend would do against 2 other duo teams! Or better off have a 3v3v3 with a tank, adc, and assasin or support! all up to you! I really think this 3 team concept would be loved and enjoyed by many players! Thanks!

I think it is a good idea, but maybe four teams would even things out a bit so the odd team out doesn't just get wiped by the other two. could be called something like "four corners" or "quadra ruins". also could introduce new monsters and different jungling depending on how the map is put together. For it to work a lot of specifics would need to be well thought out, and of course there would be beta testing.

This game play would be fun due to the competition especially! you wont be able to just do your thing, you must fight at all times to keep pace with the two other teams! wouldnt want to fall behind in levels and items!

So what will the announcer girl say when a person gets more than 5 kills?

HEXAKILL

That will be the new thing

Neat idea, but I think it would be pretty weird on the loading screen. I think a 5 man free would work though, like what they did in Smite

Good idea

From a programming standpoint this would take FOREVER since Riot pretty much said somewhere that the way the game is programmed is according to blue/purple. And I think that /all should be disabled, and it should be a 4-man team, or the distribution of player would be weird. But if they can pull it off that would work.

Paragraphs and new lines please.
You are doing the newlines the wrong way, you need to add 2 spaces before the newline (pressing enter). Check the formatting guide.

Aanyway. There's a post in the euw (or was it the na...) where that is discussed. The problem with such game mode is that it requires a brand new map (just like dominion required) and it also requires changing a lot how the game works.

For example:
How do you prevent alliances between teams?
Is it just 1 win and 2 lose? If not, how does it work?
Defining the rank of a user has always been by using the ELO. How does the game would calculate the player's ELO? Toxic behavior has always been an issue. Does this change that experience?
AFAIK, there are no other MMOG that works like that. That's 1vsall or teamAvsteamB. So this would be an innovation. Is that a risk or is it just something that will have the novelty and die quickly?

I would love to see this gameplay mode implemented. I understand it would be a huge endeavor for the Riot programmers, but if they were to step back and reprogram LoL in a less rigid way it would actually allow them easier growth in the future.

I'm not sure I share the balance concerns. I think it could actually make the game type more interesting. Imagine being in the position where you could team up with another team, would you really trust them? What if you win a decisive team fight, but your team uses more ults and is lower in health. What's to keep the other team from turning on you?

There's the potential for frustration, but that's always the case in any gameplay type. You have the trolls and the feeders and the people who DC, I think that it would add enough interesting new concepts that it would be worth the potential frustration.

A lot of people have suggested this before, while the idea seems fun, there would be no way to balance it.

Riot employees have even said that they have thought of the idea, but couldn't find a way to make a balanced game mode out of it.

The game mode seams like it would be so hectic that not many people would have fun playing it. with being attacked at all directions it would make it extremely hard to keep pace with the other people.

I like the concept, but the thing is that 2 teams could just team up and completely destroy the third, then duke it out for the win :l . I can't really think of a way to prevent this either,a report wouldn't work because the last place team would just report out of spite in lower ELOs, though with higher ELOs it might work. this is the only downside though, it IS an awesome idea

It sounds like it would be alot of work for riot to go through for a gamemode that would probably have a 20 minute waiting que after the first week of release, having to go through color coding, new minion programming, and being able to win a game while afk, and having to design an entirely new map. This gamemode sounds kind of cool at first glance but after further inspection just doesn't seem worth any time or effort.
