Windows 8.1 keeps bugsplatting my League

So, I got this Asus laptop for christmas and now, after going through support, I've been told it's "completely updated, there's no problems with the laptop, just go contact all your games and tell them to patch it." Then I asked how I can just go to windows 7 because, let's face it, windows 8 runs video games like crap. I get told that I can't down grade to windows 7 because Asus doesn't support it, therefore I will have no drivers. Does anyone know of a solution to stop my league of legends from bugsplatting in the middle of a match???
