So I just bought 3 mystery chests and received champion skins that will all be on sale for a total of 400 rp over the course of the slowdown (Annie in Wonderland and Sabertusk Sej). HOW FING LAME RIOT. Don't act like this just "happened" by chance. I got 2 skins that I could have bought for less than one fucking mystery chest in a few days (2250 rp for 1250 worth of merch....) Don't pretend like that wasn't planned. This game and its bulls never ceases to amaze me. This is the first time I have spent a large sum of money on this game, and it will be the last. I hope someone sees this and fixes this problem before it happens to anyone else.

You played the lotto... didn't win a big prize... but now want to complain about it? I've had similar luck with unlocking mystery gifts for myself... but every time I've gifted one they've received a 975 or more often something better every time.

I don't think you realize what the hell "chance" is.

I'm not quite following the math here. 3 mystery chests would be valued at 790 each... so it should have been 2370 rp. And as another person pointed out, Annie in Wonderland is a Legendary Legacy which will be sold at 910 this month. And since Sabertusk Sejuani is another Legacy that will be sold at 487... I'm going to guess the third happens to be another 975 going on a 50% sale this month, since all mystery chest skins have to be valued at 975.

I would say that is a bit unlucky, since by my numbers you spent 2370 rp for items that would soon be on sale for a combined 1884 rp (486 rp difference). Maybe you could petition riot to mystery skin you another 975 that is having a 50% sale this month to break even?

On a separate note, if any single one of those skins had not been on sale this month, you would have at least broken even (or ahead if it had been a different legendary).

Doubt it was planned.
Put in a support ticket. Normally Mystery Chests are suppose to prevent you from getting content of a lesser value (or nearly identical value) than the price of the Mystery Chest. That sounds like a bug to me.
