Riot, I have an idea for a major issue

I dont get on here and bitch often. I like the game, I dont have many problems, and havent had any issues recently. But there is something that is absolutely killing my experience. And it needs to be fixed and addressed NOW. Riot, I understand that you are working on weeding out the toxic players from this community. And thats a tall task, considering there are a lot of them, and they often times utter horrible things. However, if a player loses his/her series from an afk, there is no reason why that person should not get a second chance at a series. Go look at my stats. Im a silver 4 player, who has peaked at high silver three this season. I am trying my best to get back into silver three, two, and one and then gold before the season ends (cause who doesnt want to elo up?) So I win a lot of games, play well, and earn myself a spot to get into my silver three series. I win the first one in dramatic fashion and decide to take a break. The next night I come on and lose (no worries, series are 3 games for a reason right?) So heres the third game. Im first pick (NO WAY I NEVER GET FIRST PICK YAY!!) So I pick a comfort champ at a carry position that I have historically done well with. Also, I ban Lee Sin at the request of our mid laner so he/she can play Akali (no problem cause I picked Twitch.) So we get into game and things start rough. Akali gets ganked early and feeds first blood really quickly. Ok, maybe they made a sick play or she hit a lag spike or whatever. She dies again two minutes later. This time I watch, and offer advice of not being too overextended with an XZ jungle against a Zed mid (also with the suggestion to buy wards.) "Ok, I will," she replies. Then, Akali hits 6 and decides to roam. Ok, I think, this could be good. Shes 6, we could use more pressure bot, she could use the kills, and maybe she and Rengar could pull off a sweet counter gank to this XZ and shut him down. Nope. She comes bot, and DIVES THE XZ WHO STILL HAS HALF HEALTH. Now, this wouldnt be a problem if Akali was say 10/3 or better, but she was 0/3, had just given up her turret mid to zed, and had 45 cs to zeds 90. While she runs to dive XZ, we ping her back to try to discourage the dive cause there was only one outcome from diving a FED XZ. And it happened. To which the Akali responds "One more fing ping and I will afk." "Ok," I say "Just please dont dive anymore, lets sit back, farm up and try to push this to late game." We had a twitch, shyvanna, rengar, akali, and blitz. If there was ever a late game team, it was ours. "F you." Ok....shes obviously not happy. And im not either. I lost my last series to an afk and really dont want to lose this one either so I just press the mute button and focus on myself. (I was 3/1/4 on Twitch at this point) I then look in our jungle and see akali going after a low XZ again, to which the whole team starts pinging. We ask akali to fall back, because their whole team was just mid and rotating to them. An ally has been slain. sigh There goes akali dying again. And that was the last we saw of her. After that, its 10 minutes of sitting back, trying to farm under turret and maybe pull out a 4v5 while akali jsut afks at the fountain. Now, heres the thing, akali wont get credited with an afk because she never dc'd. But she afk'd. And I lost my series solely because of that. Solely because an akali decided to rage, feed, and then afk, leaving my (potentially) op late game team to lose a 4v5 in a steamrolling fashion. We didnt surrender, and decided to play it out in case some MIRACLE ensued. I saw what can happen, I watched worlds. But alas, our nexus gets destroyed, along with my series.

Now I know that was a lot to read, and if you're still with me, I very much appreciate it. Riot, please, is there any way in which if a person is in their series, and a member of their team has inactivity for more than 5 minutes, their be an automatic lp put on the game, or at least on that person's series. I know this is a tall task and would require some testing in the PTR, but I have faith in you guys, Riot. If you guys made this game, pulled in almost 1 billion in revenue last year, and pulled off the spectacle at worlds you guys did, then something like this is very possible for you guys. I understand if a game is going bad, someone in their series could be duo with a partner and the partner would afk and that would save their series. Maybe dont allow it for duos. But in solo queue, its very frustrating and difficult to lose two series in a row now because of afk. I can't say that I would be the best person to fix it. And im not saying im a great league player, im VERY average, like most league players. I have flashes of brilliance sometimes, and fail hard other times. I like to play league cause its fun. I dont care about trying to be the best or anything like that. But for the sake of fairness, for the sake of enjoying the game, please fix this. I like how you guys changed the ranked system to a ladder. It made you strive for the next step in the ladder, and gave a reason to want to play ranked. The old way really had no "reward" to it, where the tier system does. However, when there is literally nothing you can do, it really really sucks. I'm not saying im the best, and there are times where I could do way better. But in this one instance, it was not my fault. It solely rested on the shoulders of an angry person on my team, and they lost it, by themselves. Thanks for reading.
