We've all been trolled by someone. It's not fun. Sometimes it gets annoying and there is nothing to gain from it. I've created discussion to get this off of your chest. If there is anything to gain, you're not as upset anymore. Best wishes.

I usually let the player rage on through the game. I do not mute them. I'd like to read what is written, as I know it will be used against them later in the report. I find it easier in a report to write "Please read the chat text" than to ignore and not know what is written. You never know, but sometimes someone slips in a racial epithet which is like the nail to the coffin when you send a report. ;)

Sad thing, the world is headed in that direction. Resumes are filtered using something similar. If your CV does not have buzzwords that will cause the program to flag it, you could go unnoticed despite having the credentials for the job. Worst of all, HR people are the intermediaries between you and the professionals who know something. That's why HR people aren't liked; they do not know squat but they filter through resumes impacting on who gets the job.

Americium1 votesI've learned that everyone isn't on the same level. It is one thing to lack skill and you have to be patient with the person. It is another for a person to intentionally be rude and throw the game.

I mean if your attention span doesn't allow you to concentrate for 60 seconds to make bans, what chance do you have to not get crushed in a 30-40 min long game?

COWmanLord3 votesWell my first example wasn't so much annoying as it was oddly funny. I was playing a game with a friend who is newer to the game (he was around level 20ish when this happened) even though I was Gold 5 at the time. I was about 20 up in a jinx vs caitlyn lane, but hadn't been able to get a kill and really start snowballing yet. Anyways the enemy lee sin and jax got pretty fed off my friend and then they hit bot with a 4 man gank 3 times in a row. This is where things got interesting. At this point because they were winning the enemy lee sin decided that this was proof that all golds were trash and that he shouldn't be silver. The caitlyn joined in saying that I lost lane and needed my whole team to gank for me after the jungler and only the jungler performed a single gank on her. I just ignored it for a while, but it went on. The enemy cait and lee sin continued to become increasingly upset and were having a lot of trouble ending the game (they had rushed in about 3 times and just died). Of course you can't really tell through typing, but they came as close as you can be to sounding like you are legitimately crying in rage through typing even though they were winning.

For example - if you find yourself mismatched with a player that counters your hero's, how do you manage and mitigate your losses?
Clearly dealing with that is better than trying to make someone else miserable.
7ha7guy7772 votesI had an anivia and bard duo in an URF game who were building horribly and trolling the entire game. I go to tp to lane, anivia walls me cancelling the channel. Now i have to walk to lane. I'm ulting their fed talon (i was malz) and right as i'm about to kill him bard ults both of us. Talon ults and proceeds to kill me

Americium1 votesBad anivia support - this is the most unique type of troll I've encountered where anivia would wall me in blocking my retreat. Initially, it looked innocuous. After a while, the player made it obvious. After a few deaths this way, the player started calling for my other teammates to report me for feeding. Knowing that this was a losing, I decided to try other lanes. The player did the same with some other teammate. The enemy did not kill anivia and there was chatter from them on reporting us too.

Here's something funny, I do not play ranked as I do not feel I know the game enough to be in that kind of competition. On a normal game, occasionally I get someone trying to insult me by calling me bronze or something. My response is usually - I'm not bronze. I'm not ranked as I don't play ranked.

COWmanLord1 votesI always find it quite irritating when someone doesn't get their role and just decides that it will be duo top/mid because they don't want to support. If it's prearranged that's one thing, but if I am just looking for a normal game without anything crazy its kind of annoying that they want to just decide that kind of thing for the team.
