Will jungle mains ever get a new toy?

It seems riot has something against junglers. In the last 15 champ releases we have had 5 mids, 3 adcs (4th on the way ), 3 supports, 3 top laners, 1 jungler. It can be said that vi ended up becoming a jungler, as well as aatrox, but aatrox was nerfed into unviability. As far as zac goes he ended being the only true jungler to be released in the last 15 champs. He ended up becoming a top laner then nerfed into unviability (tbh hes not a bad top laner atm). So jungle mains lay in wait for a new champion that seems to never come. Ive waited champion release after champion release to feel what the other roles have but it just seems that jungle mains get the shaft, While the other roles get to play with their shiny new toys.

 Now I don't wanna hear that excuse that riot is changing the jungle in season 5, that they don't want to release a jungler because they dont know how it will function in the new jungle thats downright unfair. The jungle has changed for the last two season so if thats the case jungle mains can expect to never get a champion and thats pretty frustrating .

If anything, I'd say they're not releasing a new jungler BECAUSE of the changes. They have to make sure all the old junglers can fit in first, let alone throwing in someone else into the barrel. And you can't compare the new changes to the older seasons, the new jungle is going to be considerably different.

Well with the changes they made a lot of other champions became viable to jungle with actually.

You guys are getting an entire new set of items that will open up a ton of jungle possibilities through the smite modifier items and their enchantments. Yes you have yet to get a new champion but that will come (probably just before or after Ao'Shin)

To be fair, there have also been champs who have migrated into the jungle, like panth. Sion, too.

Jungle champion pool is really not in a great state... But anyway, the jungle seems to get remade every season, so we do have that to look forward to in terms of changes and different things happening.

But a new jungler would be cool... Zac was fun while he was viable. Same with Aatrox. Both were nerfed pretty seriously out of contention.

I think most of the community players mid, adc, and support so there is not money in making junglers. No one is going to want to play jungle next season so were screwed

This is exactly what I was thinking about. The last champ released as a jungler was Zac and that was nearly two years ago. This is so ridiculous.

Well lets see, you named 3 junglers (yes, Vi, Zac, and Aatrox are junglers), you are getting a totally new jungle rework to make it even better, AND there are loads of new item sets coming out, yet, somehow, you feel cheated. I don't know, what you're argument is, being a jungler right now seems pretty good to me.

I'm with you. I've been sad after only getting Rengar. Zac, while fun, there's something about him that keeps me from playing him. Owell, here's to hoping!

Besides, have you not seen the preseason work they're doing? Are they helping supports? Bringing some fairness in melee vs ranged lanes? Improving tank itemization? That fighter rework we were promised was coming soon?

Barely.

The main focus is the jungle, just like it was in last year's preseason. Speaking of season 4 preseason, remember what item 3097 was like back then? It gave enough gold in a duo lane if both champs bought it that people were starting to take two top laners instead of a jungle. It was a new meta shift, something different. Something that would leave the jungler role in the dust. So they nerfed it, keeping the meta intact and keeping junglers in a job. As far as roles go, Riot seems to like junglers. Not as much as they love marksmen, but a hell of a lot more than supports, tanks, and immobile mages.

Q now deals 280 max rank dmg, E now deals 230, W now grants 5/10/15/20/25% magic pen per rank.

still not as op as lee sin or khazix and the Q and E just swapped damage.

he is also not useless top lane as soon as renekton/darius/mundo gets crowl

you act like top lane is happy atm. all they did was make ranged champs that go top and deny every other top lane champion. thats the riot way!

Ao Shin is supposed to be comming out early 2015 which he could either be the next champ after Kalista or the one after the one who comes out after Kalista (confusing right), he could possibly be our new jungle champion. I do agree though that we need a few more jungle champions
