What makes you tilt?

First, I don't play ranked and just started playing normals. Second this is not a bitch session I am just trying to understand, because i can't or don't right now. I have a nephew that showed me the game but I just play bots here and there for stress relief). In about 35-40 normals games I have been blessed to have good/understanding players that I am learning and i take advice. I play primarily supp, and consider myself decent with thresh. Last game last night I was off, my timing just sucked, so i was missing spoils of war last hits, creeps kill creeps and the Lucian gets upset saying I am ruining his CS. We also lost a battle to Jinx and VelKoz, per him because he was so far behind in CS. I was ok, I just wont use spoils, but again timing off so orbwalking was too. I end up AAing a few more times and he just wanders off and goes solo top. I understand being annoyed, but he even admitted he tilted because of the CS. Fine, you are mad/not mad at me, why not try to reset and help the other guys? I don't get mad, but if he doesn't tell me he wants to tower hug how am i supposed to know.

That's it. People screw up, maybe its because I don't have so much invested. I won 13 in a row before, again because of good teams and teamwork, not because i am a super awesome LDC carry type. We would pick each other up when we had a bad lane or fight. I get S ranks with thresh in my small sample of games, but I just had a bad game. Just trying to understand.

have i just been lucky the other games with good teammates?

Only thing that tilts me is losing with my main, and knowing that its my fault.

The main thing that makes me tilt is when something happens in a game that is out of my hands, and directly contributes to my loss. I know it shouldn't, especially when it's something like a troll or AFK, but the fact that there was nothing I can do doesn't un-lose my promos, it doesn't bring back my LP, and it does un-demote me from B5 for the 10th time in a row.

Another thing is when people exploit the social aspect of this game. For instance, I had a Riven support in normals. It's normals, so w/e, I'll roll with it. She was duo'd with our jungler, Sejuani, who failed a gank on our lane (I was Twitch) pinging about 2 seconds before jumping in at level 2. Riven died (because she's Riven against Soraka and Ashe; I don't know what she was expecting) and they both blamed me for it. That was enough to get me pissed enough to calmly explain to them that it was their fault. I knew it was a bad idea, and they were lucky that I followed up anyway. I didn't have my AS steroid (took contaminate first, venom cask second). A couple of times, I was close to a kill, but couldn't pull it off because they escaped with a sliver of health, and Riven got straight up toxic with me. I tried to tell her to stop, but she just continued to blame me and put me on tilt. After the game, the duo tilted me further by telling everyone to report me for being toxic (Which I wasn't) and they straight up lied to the enemy team at the post-game screen.

I'm still waiting to see if it actually went through, because Riot does sometimes nit-pick through chat logs and take things out of context. I've never been banned before, but I've also never been mass-false reported before. These kinds of exploits make me want to stop playing altogether.

Vayne players. "I'm a good vayne".. 0/4 at 10 minutes.

To be fair. Vayne's entire lane is measured by how well you can not get pooped on

When I get wonder tops and bots that think that the lane that they're assigned is the only place they should go.

That is hard for me, knowing when to team up. I admit it, I see a tower about to fall and i try to protect it, which as thresh is stoopid since i have no wave clear. Usualy someone just says get over here so i do. I think bots enables that thought process, bots don't penalize people for doing this. And its where you "learn".

Hullabaloo9071 votes

its like, ok, you got your tower. Now come help other lanes instead of trying to push your second tower down and dying to a collapse.

Wolfenstin2 votes

Missing skillshots, ults, failing in general. Feeling like I've let my team down stings like 15 bees sticking it to me, and it makes my blood boil when I feel like everything is my fault. Especially so when everyone IS saying it's my fault.

Which is why whenever a teammate is doing badly, I don't say anything, because if it were me, the last thing I'd want to hear is "OMG this (insert champion name here)!"

For me it's when someone has to make a comment on every. single. choice. If I'm support, oom, and halfway through my B, then ADC attempts to get a pick on the support but gets caught by the jungle... "Why were you backing, that was an easy kill" If I'm jungle and in a smite war and lose... "why didn't you smite?" If I'm losing lane, ping MIA and decide to push tower down while my opponent shows up in another lane... "why didn't you follow?"

Essentially if my teammates don't understand game mechanics and blame someone else for their lack of understanding, it's frustrating. Then if you ever try to explain it to them, they're already raging and won't listen or continue to lay the blame somewhere else. As soon as I get a teammate who is clearly going to rage or complain about everything and everyone in the game, I'll give them 1-2 second chances and then have to say 'muted' and mute them. It's the only way to get me un-tilted.

I can stand dying. I can stand fucking up. In the past, I've managed to stay optimistic and had comebacks to 6/4 from 0/4. I can even stand awful laning partners and annoying lane opponents, for the most part.

But when someone starts getting on my case (in a rude and unnecessary way, not a helpful one) about deaths/choice of champ/build/etc, it's over. I'm done. I should probably mute them -- and I'm getting better about that, I muted a toxic Nocturne within the first five minutes of the game today -- but I tend to argue, get pissed and distracted, and play super badly (on accident!) for the remainder of the game.

One time, a Yi got mad at me for playing Teemo midlane (which I'm pretty good at tbh, got to mastery lvl 5 playing that way!) and ended up calling me gay. The rest of the argument was awful, but I sure did have fun saying "yes, sweetie, good guess!"

Yi was silent for a good damn five minutes.

(That wonderful feeling I, as a homosexual person, get when Internet homophobes call me gay. It's great. And they usually shut up after my response. c: c: c: )

I tilted today after a couple of bad games because my mouse was stuttering non-stop and I got to be the tank of team while playing Aurelion Sol.

Ended up with a 14 days ban.

Getting a super strong feeling that the enemy jungler is going to gank your lane but you decide to keep farming and woop here they are and you keep telling yourself you knew it you frickin knew it as you stare at the gray screen absentmindedly pressing shop and tab to distract yourself from looking at that giant creep wave slowly dying to your tower.

Everything. Everything makes me tilt.

Pantheon top always makes me tilt. Seeing Riven do well even when she's on my team makes me tilt. Vayne existing makes me tilt. Ahri having a speedbuff on her Q for literally no reason still makes me tilt. Nasus and his "interactive laning phase" makes me tilt very hard. Yasuo being on my team usually makes me tilt. Veigar. Kalista hopping all over the place actually tilts me more than most things on this list. And, of course, the classic Alistar mid in my ranked games.

XPL Turdong1 votes

The biggest thing that tilts me is knowing I can carry a game super hard if i get the slightest lead, but can never get that lead because my team abandons me to try to carry themselves.

Having to face Champions i hate whilst they are ahead. In my Case, these are Vayne , Alistar , Yasuo and Graves . Im also pretty much instatiltet when someone of these starts being disrespectful. Its dumb, i know, but it makes me tilt so hard.

AlienPrimate1 votes

The only thing that ever makes me tilt is my teammates. Usually if I have a bad start to a game like let's say 0-3-0 in a solo lane I am able to play safe and come back to have an impact late game. If my teammates start bashing on me for being bad I lose interest in the game pretty quickly and play even worse than I started.

Another thing that makes me tilt is when teammates refuse to group up late game and completely ignore pings. Teams with just one person who refuses to listen have almost no chance of winning so I give up.

Myrmiron1 votes

What makes me tilt:

  • Yasuo Vladimir Jax
  • people spamming chat with whatever nonsense.
  • pingspikes
  • missing CS
  • playing with friends (more pressure to play good)
  • me playing bad (Basically knowing I could have done that better if I just was better at the game. This makes me want to punch things.)

What helps me untilt:

  • awesome teammates reacting to my every move no matter how much I sucked (example: I accidentally engage in 3, but my whole team is already on the way to help me/already doing dragon/nashor/turrets. I love good teammates.)

what makes me tilt is when I do abilities that cancel and interrupt the other players, but they still are able to do moves. for example, people standing in my soraka silence and still casting willy nilly. people able to dash out of roots without the use of a qss or other form of "break free" ability

oh and riots inability to disable broken items or champions and think that the meta is "fun and enjoyable" while they are in play..

The thing that tilts me like no other is toxic premades.

ESPECIALLY when the Jungler is part of the premade, only ganks for his premade buddies and ignores everyone else.

90% of the time if I ask for help from a premade I get flamed to hell the reported after the game ends even if all I said is "can I get some help"

Tilts me just thinking about it.
