Do people really dodge ranked games so much?

I have to question, do people really dodge ranked games as often as I encounter it. I'm in high gold, just slowly progressing my way to platinum like I do every year since I don't play much ranked and people seem to dodge at least once per queue. I mean you lose LP for dodging as well as if your team is trolling and you lose the match, but isn't it worth it for that 1/10 shot of victory? I mean it's happening so much I question if something is happening on riot's end that games are just failing at random points. Some of the "dodges" are just out of nowhere. Like before bans even finish.

We ALL close the "LOL client" you may lose LP, but still better than a lose for most people.

There are two things:

  1. LP loss for dodging is much lower. Maximum is 10 LP and you lose a minumum of 15 LP per game.
  2. Dodging does not affect your MMR, that is you can dodge 20 games in a row and you will play in the same "skill" level, but losing 20 games will basically make you play with Silver 1 instead of Gold 1, for example.

As for the dodging frequency... I wish people actually used this option once in a while on EUNE. I've been literally the only person in my ~100 games that dodged a game. Doesn't matter how shitty the situation can be "Never give up, never surrender" type of gibberish.
