Hello, I haven't played league of legends in a very long time, is there anywhere I can go to watch or read things that will help me get back into the game, I've been seeing how popular it has gotten recently and I want to play on the ranked ladder aswell to see if I am any good at this game. also I have heard of something called twitch.tv, would that website be of any help to me becoming a better player

YouTube is a good place as far as seeing reviews and game play. Also finding some decent players that are willing to ride along with you get you up to speed.

As someone who played in season 1, didn't play for seasons 2-5, then came back a few months into s6, all I can really say is play the game, and play with friends that have played more recently if at all possible. The biggest things I had trouble with when coming back were

  1. Figuring out who to play, where to play them, and how to build them. Back then I played nidalee in lane and Twisted fate as an adc.
  2. Figuring out what all of the champions did. With how many new champions were added since then, I had no idea what half the champions did, and got punished a lot when playing against them because of it.

you can also learn a lot from watching youtube videos. Pros playing, instructional videos, etc. But really the best and fastest way to get reacquainted with the game in my opinion is just to play it.
