I cannot FATHOM how a new player must feel trying to learn this game in its current state

I'm playing on a level 18 smurf to help my friend level up and learn the facets of the game, so, you know, there's only 3 smurfs shit-talking him instead of 4, but that's besides the point. Long story short, we are matched up against a level 30 Master Yi that was gold last season, with over 600 wins. This yi "player" is tryharding as though Trick2g's white trash wiener is the juicy reward - against a bunch of people who are ALL below level 25. He has the standard white trash smite/teleport combo, naturally. After many one-sided fights (since those are the best kinds of fights to have once a team gets an early lead and the opposing team has absolutely no conceivable chance of recovering due to Riot's complete and total understanding of what makes the game fun) the game ends. Afterwards, he decides to shit-talk, because naturally, there's no one more deserving of some shit talk than some under-leveled players trying to gain some knowledge about the game.

This isn't a solitary event. This has happened a number of times this week. I really fail to understand how this is even possible. How is a player supposed to persevere and gain some knowledge when he's being stomped on by smurfs that pick hyper-carries? I cannot think of a game that has a more ineffective, unsatisfying, and punishing new player experience. It's actually ridiculous. Why are gold-tier players even allowed to play with people that aren't even level 30? Aren't higher tier players not allowed to duo with a bronze or a silver to gain elo? How is what is happening here any different? Riot either doesn't care about the new player experience, or they're too incompetent to know how to fix the problem, which I don't believe to be true, so Riot must not care. I'm certain I'm not the first person to have posted something like this, but it's worth posting again.

Make sure you pick up all of the the new and festive holiday skins. A lot of care and dedication went into them. Merry Christmas.

Annie is a champion in league of legends. That's all new players need. Also, every game has "smurfs," what is riot going to do about it? I feel like the only thing they could try to do is make name changes less expensive because that seems to be the main reason for smurfing outside of popular players wanting to be unnoticed.

i think riot just needs to rebuild the leveling structure. perhaps add a level skip function if you can pass a insane set of tests.

runes are a poorly applied system

champ systems can be kept, there are enough low ip cost ones new players have a plethora of choices. maybe rotate more champ prices.
