Question about Platinum and Diamond players...

I'm reaching level 30 soon (28 right now) and past 3-4 levels I'v been matched constantly against Platinum and Diamond players in Normal Draft. I also get them into my team. Often though, my teammates play like how I imagine a bronze player would play. They have cost me games, their decisions and gameplay is so bad, that I feel like I'm being trolled sometimes.

So my question is: Are they really that fucking bad or is it just Flex queue boost fest thing?

They are probably trolling or playing off roles. A platinum player playing their off or 5th role is probably not going to play that well. I wouldn't really put much thought or effort analyzing their normal draft play.

When I play normals as a gold player I almost never play my main role or main champions and I try new stuff. They are probably doing the same.

Is riot on an epic memetic trolling spree or what? How is that even possible? I mean, i can understand you met once a premade of diamonds, but it shouldn't happen regularly...
