Busted for referrals then robbed by riot?

Hey all, so I paid my friend 20 bucks and he got me 100 referrals. I didnt realize his methods were illegal. They took all the things I got with the rewards. Thats fine it was against summoners code. This was roughly 2 weeks ago. Today I log in to see the 10k ip and 1.4k rp I earned/bought over the double ip weekend was taken from me. Support has provided me no help. Anyone have some ideas?

"I got a reply to my thread--- it looked like the system reposes fraudulent amount of rp and ip worth of stuff that is most recent, meaning if you did this months or years back and your account is flagged you lose those purchases (or strait up ip and rp) which are most recent. this mean if you had enough ip/rp to cover the bad rp/ip spent you wouldn't lose items but rp /ip if you don't, it chunks your current rp/ip total and take what ever it left over from your most recent purchases... needless to say this isn't ideal"

Moral of the story if you were busted for referrals dont buy anymore RP....ever. RIP. Thanks for the Love & Hate, hope to see you guys in the rift. Ill still be lurking the thread.

I'm not going to tell you to send in a support ticket. You aren't fooling anyone when you say you didn't know your friend wasn't actually going to get you 100 real friends referred.

In case this is legit, what were you expecting? Did you really think your friend would hook you up to 100 new people to play LoL for 20 bucks? It wasn't obvious that they were botted accounts?

whatever dude. 100 referals gave you RP rewards. 100 referals also gave you a ton of ip. You should be thanking Riot on your knees that they did not permaban your sleazy ass! if someone would cheat my business, i would not give them a second chance!

You done something obviously illegal, and justice has been served. What do you think support is going to do?

"Intentionally misleading people into becoming your referrals (i.e. by spamming misleading links or videos) and/or using your own smurf accounts as referrals in prohibited. Doing so is considered to be fraudulent and will result in a permanent suspensions from the Refer-A-Friend program, reversal of all the rewards and may even result in an account ban. If you feel that your action may be interpreted as breaking one the rules mentioned above, it is best not to go through with it."

From the look of it, they took more than they should have. I'm not sure how their terms of service work, but taking more than the ill-gotten gains is not only excessive, it might also be illegal when real money is involved. I would suggest that you continue sending support tickets until an answer is given.

You cheated yourself into IP, RP and skin rewards. you lied in your OP by stating this:"I didnt realize his methods were illegal." tell yourself whatever you want man, but taking responsibility for wrongful actions is part of growing up. I hope you do sometime! And yeah i am angry. I buy RP for skins and i earn IP by playing. I dont try to cheat myself into Freebies. And if i would i sure would not whine on the forums about a slap on the hand. IMHO ppl like you who exploit a positive system for gain and then play with skins they did not buy deserve to be Permabanned!

Thanks for your responses Riot responded to my support ticket saying I abused the system and rewards were taken. For those saying I knew or I deserve it. Thats fine, ultimately it doesn't matter. The best point was riot can do whatever they want to my account. I'm asking about my items earned after the fact. AKA 10k ip and 1.4k rp paid for last weekend. They have now taken that, obviously I cannot argue the IP thats not real currency. But I spent real money on the RP. Its a shame to see you guys act like I'm some hacker or villain lol. All I did was buy a few skins.
