Can't update client (curl out of memory)

Hola,

Last night (about 14~) hours ago I tried updating to the new patch and it wouldn't, and gave me the usual "unknown error" message. I decided to go to sleep and just wait until the morning to try again, hey, maybe it was just a download error! Unfortunately I was wrong, after trying to update numerous times today and trying to use the repair feature no avail.

I deleted all of my logs, then ran it one more time to get a fresh log folder. Everything looks normal but at the end of the LoLPatcher.log there's an OOM error, see bwlo.

Obviously the "curl_easy_perform failed: Out of memory" looks like the obvious problem, but I'm confused as of why this would happen? I've been playing league for at least 3 years and never had this issue updating. I have a 64-bit system and 32GB RAM, which never goes over 50% used. I opened a ticket with RIOT, however the support ticket replies usually take 48 hours minimum to get back.

Any suggestions?

Appears reinstalling the game doesn't fix either, still get curl OOM error

I tried installing a whole new League of Legends client to a second SSD and the problem still occurs, still no reply from RIOT after almost 24 hours to my ticket.
