Yes Jarvan's ult can be beneficial for catching people, but not for trying to escape. Seriously, sometimes when you are trying to run away, you can ult and escape with Jarvan. How can Jarvan seriously not escape his own ult without casting and spells or waiting for a certain time for the ult to disappear.
