Generalizations in League, and why they matter
Although it's easy to just generalize, especially when making complaints, it can create misinformation and very strong conflict. For example, we as a community are usually labeled as salty and toxic. Not everyone is so, but many people have experienced enough of it to make that generalization. It's not that they are completely untrue, but rather they are situational, meaning some people fit into the category and others won't.
We can see generalizations about rank, Riot,
mains, even specific sections of the Boards. Not all of the people or things in these groups are the way they are sometimes painted. I've met nice players of all champions and all sorts of people from every rank. I'm sure there are Rioters that share the same concerns of the community as well as opposing views. Of course, I've only named a few of these things, but you get the idea.
The point of this post is to hopefully change your mindset on how you view people just because they are in a certain generalization. Because this is such a vast community and there are so many different people and variables, it's impossible to judge a certain thing even by looking at just a few instances.
Also, have a wonderful day!
