Did I get reported?

Quick league question, I had to type "I agree" on this new leaverbuster thing, while I was playing a ranked game, my ISP went down for about 8 hours, does that mean I got reported for afk? Is there a way that I can resolve this? Having the internet down for that long was out of my control, especially with rain happening just yesterday.

No, it's just an automatic little agreement that everyone has to sign if they dc. It has no affect on you overall, so no need to worry about it. It's just reminding you to not afk/dc over and over is all.

  1. Yes, but has to happen a bit before you actually get punished.

  2. ISP's don't go down. They are distributed and physical things (physical wires. Unless a state power goes undersater and physically cuts cables and makes international headlines, that is). What almost certainly happened was a DDOS attack on your ISP's DNS. You don't have to understand what that means, though. It happens to ATT a lot. I use ATT, so I've been screwed over a few times. All is not lost, however. It is a simple fix. Just get on google and search for how to change your DNS manually to one of google's two DNS servers. They are super solid and since I have used them (primary, and secondary), I have NEVER had an issue. To take down both of Google's DNS servers would be practically impossible.

Cheers! and enjoy not being banned for some script kiddie DDOSing your DNS. :)
