New Gangplank's Hat

This might be the wrong place for this but am I the only one who noticed that the new Gangplank's in-game hat is different than the one in his splash art and the one described in the fourth part of the Bilgewater event storyline? The hat in the splash art(at least in my opinion) and in the story looks like and is described as a tricorne but the in-game hat does not look like a tricorne
