Leaver Buster

I don't think that the leaver buster system is good enough. I'm a 16 year old who puts a lot of time and money into league but I have parents who ask me to do stuff very randomly that I can't control. I'm the eldest kid and my dad works hours away so my mother has me do a lot of the functions of the house including picking up my 3 siblings, doing the dishes, walking the dog, watering the plant, cleaning, etc. I can't control any of these things and I play a lot. Often I'll leave the computer to do said things and I'll end up losing the computer to someone else, or my mom will kick me off because someone has homework. It may sound like I'm complaining about housework, but my underlying problem is the leaver buster system. I can play near 30 games without leaving early, and the one time I do I will be given a penalty. I realize that the leaverbuster system tries to help with incidents and occasions that force players to go afk but it doesn't do a good job whatsoever. I completely fine with having some system in place, but I think it should have a faster cooldown for players that do go for long times without afking and happen to have to afk due to unforeseen circumstances. Someone please help me with this. I am an avid player and dedicate a ton of time and money into this game and have to wait 20 minutes before 5 games now because my sister had to be picked up from track practice!

The rest of the people in your match shouldn't have to be punished because you frequently have to leave. Figure something out so you aren't interrupted during your matches.

Might be time to find a new game sir that you can pause, or be an adult and work it out with your family when "game time" is and outside of those hours, be responsible. Not rocket science.

Just because you haven't figured out how to control it doesn't mean you can't. Communicating with your parents would be a good first step.

Before starting, find out if there is anything that will need to be done in the next hour and a half or so. If not, then ask if you can be left alone during the time you are playing a game.

For things like picking up siblings I'm guessing there's a known time when that happens and can be worked around. For walking the dog, it depends on if it's been trained to expect walks at certain intervals. For other chores, find out if they can be done either before or after you play a game.

And talk to your mom. Some parents don't get that you can't pause League and that when you leave, there are people who are affected by that.

If you can't come to an arrangement, you may need to switch to single player games or ones that you can leave without penalties.
