So I just played with a Rioter...

Git Gudyr·3/3/2016, 7:00:27 AM·47 votes·7,440 views

I just finished a Ranked game with Riot Asyrite, and a few weeks ago played a normal with Riot KateyKhaos, and you know what? They were the most chill, laid back, fun games I've had in quite awhile. Nobody raged, nobody trash talked, and nobody was toxic. The one person who did start in on the enemy team when I was playing with Katey got real quiet when they realized. The fear of retribution is real.

It just sucks that people have to be watched over constantly to not be jerks. My game tonight with Asyrite, who absolutely crushed it from the jungle, was the least toxic game in Plat I've had in weeks. People should really go into each game as though somebody from Riot is watching what they say. League would be such a better environment to play in.

Oh, hey! I remember that game! Your name is, uh, quite memorable. :P

I've always been about the whole, if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm far from perfect, and sure, there are time when I get angry. Rather than typing in all chat, I just complain in Skype. :P Doesn't hurt anyone's feelings, and it doesn't shift the morale of the game. This probably sounds pretty lame, but hey, it works.

I don't think it's a matter of going into the mindset that there's a Rioter in the game, but just that you're interacting with other human beings and should treat people the way you want to be treated. Honestly, would you really say a lot of the mean junk you say in chat to someone's face if you encountered them IRL? ~~Probably ~~ Hopefully not.

Anyways, that's my two cents. Oh, and thanks for the game! Hope to see you around. :3

I played with lyte once. I didn't even realize he was in the game till like 25 minutes in, I was wondering why chat was quiet.

Dunkey called a Rioter a f*ggot in game (after his ban) and nothing happened to him.......

EDIT: Not going to link the video because I don't want to promote abuse of Rioters but it isn't hard to find

so lets put a rioter in every game and the league toxicity problem is solved! XD [slayer-pantheon-thumbs] riot now has 1 million plus job openings lol

Just as an aside -- lots of Rioters don't have "Riot" on our names (like me, for example). So just because you haven't seen the tag in a game doesn't mean you haven't had a Rioter on your team (or on the other team).

Folks around here play lots of League and sit in a wide spectrum of skill levels; it's probably more common than you might imagine to have a Riot person pop in your games. Course, the only thing that really matters is that everyone is being excellent to each other.

Nobody raged, nobody trash talked, and nobody was toxic.

I wonder why :^)

I've played with a few Rioters before. Once was back in Season 3 during Ranked 3v3s (a team of two Rioters and someone else...it escapes me). I've also played with KateyKhaos (:D). They are all chill peeps and give a very pleasant gaming experience.

Gotodead3/3/2016, 9:46:26 PM1 votes

Yea thats why most Riot players get dicked on in higher elo every game and its hard to play with them. Their mmr is artificially inflated from having easier games.

I played with a Rioter with a group of friends a few months ago during the bilgewater event, although he refused to talk throughout the game XD. But I'm not surprised as we kept asking him a bunch of questions XD. I then played with another bot lane as shen supporting his kalista, but he didn't talk either qq

Yeah, I've played with a total of 3 Rioters. Riot Tigerlily in a dominion once (this was so long ago I don't even remember the result, though they played udyr), And another pair whose names escape me, who carried the game.

Is this a thing? People will be less toxic if there's a Rioter in their games?

What would it take for someone to get a Rioter to be a regular person they play with? Maybe I'll be able to turn all-chat or champion voices back on again.

I played with a rioter once and he fed his ass off and people were riding his d*** because they were afraid of him. It was like we were in north korea.

Played with Pendragon once. That's all I can remember.

VendettaX43/4/2016, 2:38:43 AM1 votes

of course no one was toxic, one mean look at someone and the rioters will suspend their account lol

People in the community need to realize this is how the game is made tons better. I love playing games like that and I'm glad Riot is out there keeping things real. I wonder if they could introduce a Player Riot program where they can carry a weight like that into a game. Either that or post a bigger more attractive link to the tribunal on the front page and make it easier to find. There are a lot of angry people out there and they need to feel like they are doing something. There is more that could be done with the tribunal and players need to take it more seriously.

Well, the only game with a rioter I had he fed kinda hard. I don't remember who it was, but I didn't realize the guy was a rioter till after the game and I felt pretty bad for roflstomping their team.

PrincessOfHyrule3/4/2016, 4:01:00 PM1 votes

I think that the fact that you can play with everyone who has created the game is one of my favorite parts of league, even when there is nothing you could do, I played against Riot dash, and man HE WAS AWESOME. I ended up going 0-10-2 but man that was a really good game.

Edit: and who is associated with riot directly.

Runescape used a "Player moderator" system, I mean I was like what 8-9 at the time. Something like that, but I just remember it being a thing, maybe it could help.

Supreme Senpai693/3/2016, 10:59:28 PM1 votes

My game with a rioter was similar. I failed so many ganks and nobody said anything bad, everybody said 'good job' when we got a kill, it was laid back and generally pleasant. We fucked up a LOT but we actually ended up winning. Goes to show how positivity can turn games around.

I have never had the privilege thus far.

I played against a Rioter who was a Fizz main and a few of his friends, but I can't quite remember who. He was pretty chill, and my team and his just casually traded insults, it was the most fun I've had in forever

warpenguin5553/3/2016, 3:12:20 PM1 votes

I played with one a few monthes back who was playing Kench. was pretty good too. dont remember his/her name though

John Viande3/3/2016, 7:13:50 PM1 votes

Well they better not be mad. While a normal player risk to be banned, a rioter risk his job if he flames (i.e. PsyonicHero, Werecat)
