Playing with friends ruins your League experiance

I mostly play with my boyfriend and another friend. We started playing like that before ARAM was introduced but gave up playing on SR as we'd always face the same problem. If we go bot and mid, top and jungle would do bad, any lane would fail if one of the randoms would be in it. Now we play ARAM, making strategies on the fly and adapting to the random factor of ARAM. But of course the two people we get for our team don't know they champions (not even the general role) and are most often of the type who thinks playing an ARAM game matter less than going for beginner bots (lol its just ARAM). now, those people are allowed to exist and I get it, they don't want to take it serious or try. But having them guaranteed on our team every time gets annoying. we also play mostly on purple side (so much in fact that I learned to play with unlocked screen) which is a huge problem for the randoms we get for our team. and don't get me started trying to play ranked with friends but without a full team.

So does that happen to others? or is it just bad luck combined with paranoia?
