After five years of fun, I've got permabanned :(

Hello there,

I'm not here to rant or something but just trying to recover something back if possible. Some background: I'm a LoL player and I started playing five years ago or so together with friends and ex-colleagues of mine (and we stayed in touch thanks to LoL tho!). I love playing mid and adc and this summer I was planning to finally reach Plat after two seasons of plateauing in Gold (I have some spare time before my phd dissertation).

Unfortunately, this morning I've got perma banned after two games where a group of premade reported me for being toxic and persuaded enemy team to do the same thing. One month ago I got a 14-days ban due to the same reasons (even in normal mode!). I understand I have been toxic in the light sense of the word (here you can see chat logs attached to the ban message on the client) but in five years of playing I never wished cancer, never told someone to die or these stupid things. I think the worst that I've said is "you can't play" and I'm sorry for that but after a series of trolls and inting people that might come easy and fast.

I'm posting here cause I read about someone who was permabanned and then he/she got the suspension changed in something different. Here I'm begging for something similar. I accept my faults but I don't think I'm one of the 0.006% of the players which are really toxic (and you all know what real toxicity is). I love League of Legends and although I don't have a lot of time for playing, it became a tool for allowing me and my far away friends to play together and stay in touch.

I think there will be no exception but well, I'm trying whatever I can. Thanks for listening.

These are taken from your paste bin, and are most likely the offenders and reason you were banned. It is against the rules to ask other players to report someone, or announce you are reporting someone in an obnoxious way. Calling players useless, bad, trolls, toxic, etc. is also against the rules and considered negative behavior. There isn't a justification for it.

Multiple reports do not do anything. A report makes the automatic system check the game because it is flagged, multiple reports does not make the system check any harder than it already does. You were already on your 14 ban, you should've realized something wasn't right with how you were behaving.

Yep, indeed I'm not saying I had been a better player after the 14 day ban but why do I have to get permabanned while there still are players which intentionally ruined my games and didn't get any ban at all? Is it just because they didn't type anything in chat or what?

What I'm trying to say if: is my behaviour a positive case for a permaban? And if it is, well, that's a bit sad but I accept it.

Multiple reports do NOT increase the likelihood of flagging a game for review. One report is all it takes. There is no benefit to asking for others to report a player.

Yes, every time a game is reported, it is reviewed by the system.

That is why we say only 1 report is needed.

1.) A single report is all it takes for a game to be reviewed. It doesn't matter if you were reported once or 9 times.

Thanks, didn't know about that! But the likelihood to be reported even if you didn't do anything bad increases with premades (I'm not saying that's my case, I don't know, I just know what happened during the game).

I say that every time I see one of these posts. Maybe ppl are getting banned for griefing (since they are typing and not playing) and not toxicity.

BTW, what the OP prob got banned for was asking for reports. Because, tbh, there wasn't much in there.

That's my exact thoughts. I'd like playing w/o chat rather than get permabanned. I played for five years and I've made a lot of friends and memories. I can't believe it has to end like this. I can't level up another account, I don't have the time actually and it is just so sad, I had a lot of skins and invested a lot of money there :(

Riot shouldn't have any rime or reason to perma ban someone's account, you put a lot of money and time into an account over the years. Honestly they should just remove your chat rights or make it to where you cant reply that would solve everything and not waste years of your time.

I can see reasons behind a permaban, e.g., hacks or people which want to ruin online experiences, and I accept those. But I can't see how my behaviour, compared to a hacker or a intentionally feeder, can be labeled as a permaban too.

This is exactly why I will not spend more than $25 on this game. Reading this makes me very scared I am new just started playing this game last week and given that you got banned for no reason since you didn't break any rule shows abuse by developers and a lack of care for customers.

This is unacceptable and I am glad I saw this so I will not purchase any future content here because I do not want to be banned either. the fact that you can be banned for being "toxic" is just disturbing to say the least.
