Do mastery requierments reset after the new season?

Not gonna lie, getting an S n several champions is exceptionally hard. Only 1 S rank is left for me to get lvl 7 Skarner, and i did around 10/5/24 yet still I got an A-. I have heard that, after the raked season reset, the "standards" will reset as well and we can get easier S ranks. Is it true?
