This game has probably one of the worst communities I have ever witnessed in my entirety on the internet (probably around 12 years) and yet there seems to be some self righteous sense of a caring community and justice being done to fight this toxicity. Played league for nearly four years regardless because I thoroughly enjoyed the game but today was my last day on this game. You guys constantly rearrange how you deal with toxic players and act as if it helps but in my entire time on this game the rate of toxicity has never changed. Riot you guys seriously need to rethink what you are doing because its being done wrong. Your punishment system works for one type of player and not the rest of the toxic children who spread their scuminess throughout. I have never been a bad person and almost anyone who knows me would say I am probably one of the most caring people they know and yet this community manages to turn me into a hate filled person when I am participating in it. This statistic of "only 10% of league is toxic" is utter crap. Here I made up my own and its probably more accurate; 98% of league is toxic, 70% of the toxicity goes unnoticed, the other 28% gets over punished, and the 2% of good players get blown out of proportion to make us look good. This is a game, what is said and done in it is taken way too seriously and people need to learn to lighten up, hell i got a chat restriction for poking fun at people in a playful manner because people just abuse the report system now. YOUR punishment system for "RITOS PERFECT JUSTICE" is being USED as a new form of TOXICITY, isn't that REVOLUTIONARY?? People have the mute option available and that's their own fault for letting people flame if they do. You want to reduce toxicity but yet you just suspend and restrict people and think that is an incentive to improve behavior? Yes scaring them into line is a great way to go about it, just leave that option there for them when they decide they just don't care anymore though. Why not Just get rid of their ability to be toxic all together with a permanent chat ban rather than getting rid of season rewards people worked super hard for and banning accounts which have been being built for years??? You want to reduce toxicity yet you leave in all chat? All chat brings nothing but toxicity. IF you want people to be able to say good job and crap to the enemy team then put in pre-made messages to do so.and remove the biggest threat to a good game rather than leaving the ability for people to be toxic. I am disgusted with myself for having wasted so much time in my life on this game, i thought i would be proud for reaching diamond but i regret every second i spent on this game. I'm not even going to be bothered to make sure this post is grammatically correct or formatted because what does it matter anyway nobody listens nothing changes and you guys will continue to be self righteous and egotistical with your thinking. This post is probably a waste of my time and just going to bring a group of chastisers to my door anyway that's the only response you ever get when you have an issue.All you guys do is ignore anything anyone has to say because we are just one player in the millions and i'm just insignificant to you. Wow do i wish i could take the 10,000+ hours i spent on this game back. Along with all the referrals to play this game considering I probably increased your player base by nearly 500 players. Gonna try to convince them to quit too before they end up regretting it. Nice customer support you guys have too by the way with the 5 copy pasted messages you send to anyone who takes the time to write out a ticket to you. Give me that crap about how you guys cant afford to pay to do have a large enough customer support base etc. for how large the player base is, I would love to hear it considering how much revenue this game generates for your company. I have never been so salty and disappointed with anything in my life. Thank god i still managed to make it to med school even though i wasted so much time playing this game. Never again. Keep on wasting peoples time other than the 50 people that make it to pro and actually get anything out of it. Keep on making the internet a worse place too with the level of hate you bring out of people with this game. Can't even escape it, any game I go on i hear about league. To those of you out there who are actually genuinely good people, sorry if this post offends you or seems hostile and honestly I have a lot of respect for you for managing to continue on like that through this crap because I know there is some of you out there. This thread isn't meant to offend anyone and I apologize if it does because really I just wanted to vent my frustrations before i uninstall this game and rid it from my life permanently. Sure wish selling accounts wasn't against the rules because then I could at least have gotten something out of this game for all the time i have wasted on it. Later league, hopefully one day this horrifyingly toxic game is rectified

Just because you find it playful, or harmless doesn't mean the person on the other end thinks that way as well. Don't get me wrong they can better improve their systems and I'm sure they are trying, but you want instant feedback, or a working system that probably can't be made.

It's impossible to find every single toxic person and ban them accordingly. Anyone who thinks is possible is living in a fantasy world. To be fair I can say I probably only see a toxic person once in ever 10-15 games, and even then it's pretty rare that they are that drastic.

To be fair when people try to make excuses with topics like this it seems like an excuse on their end to say whatever they want. It's pretty sad. Like I should be able to tell someone to kill themselves because we did poorly in one match in a video games. It's such a childish thing you are probably one of those people who think they can say and do whatever they want in real life because of "Free Speech" when that's not how it works!

All in all I feel like Riot is doing well. Obviously as time goes on things improve and I'm sure one day we will get a better way of dealing with toxic people. We can't get rid of them all, but it's best that they are and keep it at a low number. If it's getting that bad, you can always take a break. You don't always have to play this game. Take some time off League is going nowhere if you take a couple days/weeks/months off. Every community has their worst. I can name almost every single online gaming community and find the worst out of that, that would make league look like child's play.

Nice. Joining the called for chastising boat that i predicted to be coming huh? You are suggesting to me to take time off when i said im not playing ever again, which makes me think, did you even read my entire post? That would make sense considering your reply. Also, please dont make an assumption that bold (refferring to you are probably the type of person... Statement) because you are way off point. I am extremely respectful to people in real life and i by no means think that way, but its cute you want to think that. Also, I am intelligent enough to know what can be deemed insulting and trust me, people take small things and use it to create a victim complex and act as if it was some horrendous statement and you should be crucified for it. Like if you royally screw up a play and someone makes a poke about it laughingly and says "oh wow xD" or something to that affect and you take it as an insult and get butthurt about it or want jump straight to "muted reported youre toxic" which a lot of people do Then YOU have growing up to do because you are gonna put up with MUCH worse on a day to day in reality and if you dont you are either very lucky or just spoiled. You are also taking on the mind set of chat is the only toxic. I play the game for the game people who troll in game are in my opinion worse than the people telling you to "kill yourself" as you said because at least they are mutable and that ends the pain of that, but they are the only ones who tend to get punished. Also, please tell me how this was an exuse for anything? No where in OP was there an excuse mention or me ranting about something that happened to me other than about the one punishment which was to prove a point not to cry about my unfair banning because frankly i couldnt have cared less that i got in trouble it happens and if people were that upset over such stupid things you know what, to them i apologize and i guess i deserved my punishment. But honestly they need to grow up too. And to your making league look like childs play we both know that is (for lack of a better word) bullshit. You dont get any lower than telling someone you hope they get cancer or telling them to kill themself. I dont know why im even bothering to reply to though, when you want to call my post sad and throw insults at me like that when i did nothing to you but thats what i have to say about that. Oh by the way, there is PLENTY of ways to irradicate toxicity riot just isnt willing to do them though im sure there is probably logical reasons i cant think of as to why which is precisely why i didnt mention any. Also, you are literally just pulling the self righteous stereotype statement that i expected right on out. And if you want to come and be hostile to someone whom did nothing to you because you felt your perfect image attacked or for whatever reason it was you chose to come and downvote my post and counter everything i had to say from a toulman point not even willing to see to any extent my perspective, that attitude is among many reasons why this community sucks now so congrats bud.
