Influx of new/low skill players?

So after losing 7 games in a row, I've noticed a bit of a trend. In every one of my recent games, there's been at least one player that has no real game sense; tower diving, overextension, chasing kills when objectives need to be taken, etc.

Has riot done something recently to create an influx of new players or have I just had bad luck in random normals? It seems like there's way more low skill players recently. Losing streaks happen, but this is getting a little ridiculous; the opponents generally also have a poor player or two, but it comes down to who makes more mistakes, and it's been the bronzies on my team that end up doing that.

Not really a rant or anything, but it's getting a bit irritating and I was curious whether or not there's a reason for it.
