Why have I been getting 10+ friend requests a day?
Is LoL being taken over by spam-bots like Diablo? I've never experienced this before... Is anyone else experiencing this?

I started using the boards a while ago and the ever since then i have gotten spam requests. I think thats how they find you.
According to the 100+ other forum posts (and personal experience), yes, it is spam bots. Don't accept them.

Started a couple months ago with 1 or 2 a day, now it's been as many as 9 in one day. I'd honestly just prefer to be able to stop friend requests altogether to stop the spam.

Yes, it's a pain in the butt. I logged on this morning to see twelve friend requests sitting there waiting for me, I hope this is resolved reasonably soon.

I think I have a unique idea to slow down the huge amount of friend requests. Create some sort of Captcha system for adding friends. But instead of the same old system that we all hate, it could be a mini-game. To add a friend you have to identify league champions or perhaps play Wack-a-Teemo. Riot could get very creative with this idea, and it would surprise me if they weren't exploring such an option.
I just posted about this too. Riot needs to stop this. its just stupid.
