Well League it has been fun; until the end anyway. (Keeping it IMO)

Well to start I have to say I have been playing league since around the start of season two and my initial thoughts of this game were pretty fantastic. Everyone in the community at the time was willing to work together, the trolls were lighthearted and sometimes fun (though even the worst trolls filled you with a sense of wonder as to how it was done) and there was still the magic of this game steam rolling it's way into a better patch or champion release and times were good. The extra content for player skins had that unique, "I played when this skin was out and only I have this skin" feeling making players stand out and enjoy what they paid for. Ranked had its own mindset of players and blind pick was just that, a game type for people wanting to play and enjoy the game. A meta was never truly solidified but everyone had the jist of what went where and who was best suited for what role. Or in some cases the opposite was done just for a few laughs and sometimes it even worked sending a tank Ashe and a carry Lee Sin bot. There was also a never ending flow of new ideas and concepts from the community that sometimes was put up (surprise party fiddles, void fizz) and sometimes a mere pipe dream (Bro-relia) but the COMMUNITY was there and so were you Riot.

but now things are just not what they used to be.

Now this once great game has deteriorated to a point where to be from the league community and play on other games is to be considered a poison. I have been upset one to many times from not just this community but also from the creators of league to want to stick around any longer. To cite specific instances I'll start too take a look at the skins. Yes Riot, I as well as others are still bitter that you caved and went back on your word so you can make a profit. Promises were made and then broken. You put out skins for a price to throw into the vault never to return again and yet your word was useless. Easily bought out by the cries of kids who saw something they couldn't have and demanded you cave and you did. I understand from a business stand point sure there was money to be made but at the same time in doing so you have degraded yourselves to the same level of conduct that Walmart is known to operate at. Then looking from here we identify the problem community at large. This community that has become tainted with the idea that A META is the ONLY way to run things and that each player is ENTITLED to do as they please with no regards for a sense of teamwork or an end goal of simply getting a win. "Mid or feed" or "(insert champ name) or I troll" and how could we forget about such classics as "This is my level 30 smurf account" are phrases which i have seen repeated all to often. A new trend I have noticed with the party IP boost bonus was the instant kick you would get for now just accepting people as friends so they can get their boost. What are the real odds you played with them again anyway? This faceless person who you never have known? I guess my biggest problem with league now is that its lost that magic, that sense of fun and engagement from players where teamwork mattered, THE WIN mattered but most importantly THE GAME mattered. Sure losing does not hurt anyone, but it does when someone with a Tumblr sense of justice decides to sit at wolves because my teams being mean and trying to play for a win in ranked. Though i cant claim complete innocence with my behavior over the years I can say this, I am finally going to AFK for good. I just cant do it anymore riot. I've put too much time and money into something that I once loved to be a part of it as it degrades further. I guess it's that I am just sentimental like that. An older breed of gamer. One that cared.

So I guess what I am posting about right now riot is just a type of closure for myself. I loved this game but like a good relationship gone bad it's time for me to walk away from it while I can still salvage the good. Best of luck in the future and the memories will be there but I am out as I follow the cry that so many on here have made and uninstall for good. Cheers, it's been fun.

I don't blame you.

If and when Riot quits patting themselves on the back and engaging in delusional thinking, perhaps they will still have a chance to turn it around.

Ranked is complete garbage at this point.

I recently left too, for my own reasons.

A little bit about myself, I am a person who builds troll builds and practice/modify them in normals until I am ready to try it in rank. I understand people will get mad at me for taking exhaust and smite into a top and mid lane as Garen while going full AD without building any tank items. Perfectly understandable.

What I don't understand is people cussing at me without even letting me a chance to explain what I am going to do inside the champion select. Of course you have the right to be mad at me, but god dammit give me at least ONE second to explain to you my plans before calling me a troll. The Meta is so strict that nobody is allowed to try new things anymore without angering somebody.

My latest 5 matches were with full AD assassin Garen. I could've kept playing and winning easily with full AD Garen, but I don't feel like continuing to play something where I am humiliated and treated like garbage for trying something new everyday. It's just too much stress for a game.

Thank you. I love to try new builds, but I also hate it if it fails so badly I put my whole team in jeopardy. Yeah, I'm perfectly happy when someone is truely concerned with my build when it's not working, but it only happens once in a blue moon unfortunately.

Ironically, I tend to enjoy games and actually make myself and my team become more coordinated by turning on the /mute all button. It's not a solution that will last forever, but if it's working so good for me and my team right now then there's definitely a huge problem with the state of the game at the moment if I actually have to mute everybody to enjoy the match.

I am moving on to find new hobbies. I'm going to take a long break from League right now, but I might probably just stay on the Boards for a little bit.

I hope the next time you play on the Rift you'll find a team who coordinates with each other. One of my best experiences of coordination is when my fellow top laner and bot laners helps me gank a snowballing enemy mid when I am behind, when it's supposedly our jungler's job to do so. They could've just cussed me out for feeding Katarina, but instead they knew Katarina must be shut down quickly and they did just that.

I wish everybody to simply enjoy the game for what it is, a team game that's flexible enough to try new ideas. Goodbye man, you're awesome, BLKH1.

I don't particularly enjoy playing games with content that is no longer available.

Bringing back certain skins is a way to make players like me happy.

Players like you, however, get upset that you're no longer a special snowflake.

So which group deserves to be happy? How does a company decide that?
