My ranked games went from really easy to really hard...

I know this is kind of just a bias opinion and feeling, especially because I've been placed back into bronze this season after working really hard (and I mean I worked really hard) just to get into silver last season. It's really just an awful feeling, it's demoralizing, but I don't let that stop me from trying.

Now, I just feel like the system doesn't want me to get back into silver. It feels like every time I make progress, it gets cut. Whenever I go on a winning streak of 3, I go on a losing streak of 3. I know it's because that win streak of 3 make my MMR higher, but I feel like it should be the opposite. Why doesn't the MMR stay the same until I progress into the next division? That would prove that I'm supposed to be in the next division wouldn't it? Beating people of that particular MMR says "Hey, I'm just slightly better than these guys, so I'll keep playing against them until I get promoted." On the same note, I would like some pointers for getting promoted; it just feels like every time I get into promo matches, my teams aren't what they were in normal ranked games.

It feels like whenever I'm in promotionals, someone has something to say to someone else. It feels like my team is, overall, at a lower playing level, and everyone is generally very very very very VERY VERY toxic. Cassiopeia Twitch Teemo Singed Urgot

This may seem too obvious to be true, but the best way to get promoted is to be prepared for the inevitable every single game. BAD teammates. You CAN still win with them. I notice whenever there is a hardcore noob/troll on my team there usually is one on the other team as well. If my team is nubby, then their team is nubby. The trick is realizing that the system places players moving upwards with players moving downwards. If you start a game and your teammates are feeding within first 5 minutes, you have to realize that based on MMR you are most likely the best-skilled player in that game. You just have to persevere and hang on til late game.

I carried myself out of bronze last season, got stuck in Silver. Same thing this season. I carried myself out of Bronze right as the season started with confidence. I've been stuck in Silver 5 for at least 3x the time I was in bronze.

The best fundamental tips I can give are:

1.) Don't focus on carrying, focus on not throwing. Carrying is for people that REALLY know what they're doing. Most bronze and silver aren't capable. 2.) Be patient at the start of every game. A lot of noobs play super passive, which causes you to get ancy and make the first mistake. That will only make it harder for you to carry late game. 3.) Trust your teammates. Don't let 1 bad egg spoil the whole dozen. Have faith and be positive towards the ones who commit to the same goal as you 4.) Always pick your BEST champs. Along with that, a sad truth is that OP champs do make it a lot easier. (My friend supported from bronze to gold just with Leona) 5.) Calling fill is usually a good choice unless you're actually in promos. If you fill, everyone gets their best role and is happy and ready to win. Be versatile.

Once you really get confident with the low elo tiers and your own personal ability, you will start to focus on what you did wrong each game, not what your teammates did wrong. I lose games, and although I may have done the best on my team, I recap and think about what I could've done better. I usually KNOW that I could've still won that game, and learn from my mistakes.

Anyways, if you wanna try duoing you can add me - MurkBoiWonda. I use curse and skype too which helps. Good luck have fun bud!

EDIT: Carried from Bronze (V)!

its because if your mmr matched your division people would just make sure to never promote and feed on bronze players forever.

I also feel like when I solo q, most of my opponents/teammates tend to be low silver instead of high bronze. It makes no sense as to why I'm playing against silver players when I'm bronze. If I'm bronze, then simply match me with other bronze players. It's not that hard, Riot. If you want me to play against silvers, then put me in silver, if not then I'm fine with going against bronze opponents. But this discrepancy in skill level is really catching up to my win rate and ability to play well in my own division, when in fact it's not my division at all that I'm playing in.

I guess my complaint is that if I'm going to be matched with silver, I should have been put there in the first place. I have no problem being in bronze as long as my opponents (and teammates) are of about equal skill level. THAT is what bothers me.
