When it's over, it's over

Nobody ever believes me when I say 'We lost this game at (time we lost), let's just have fun til 20.' This annoys me for 2 reasons; 1: I am then forced to deal with the obligatory optimist trying to bring me to their delusion that the game is winnable. 2: When we inevitably lose or finally manage to /ff on the 3rd+ try, they all blame me for 'giving up'. Of course I gave up it was over, you want me to expend my full mental force for an inevitable loss?

I just don't get why people refuse to accept obvious defeat and /ff with some dignity instead opting to drag it out and embarrass themselves further.

I couldn't agree more. I can't tell you how many times I've been stuck with overly optomistic fools with some vendetta against surrender.

"Duuuurrr, if we don't surrender, we can practice and get better." Kinda hard to practice when the friggin support of all people can 5v1 you. Then they have the nerve to get on your case when you straight up say you're done. I don't care if you report me for afk. I'm not about to stress myself out over a game that is beyond lost. I'm going to sit here at the base, and I'm going to watch and laugh everytime one of you idiots die during your little "practice session" with the full build, Baron buffed Riven. Have fun.

surrender is a chance to get back at the other team too. they definitely don't want you to surrender when they are steamrolling you. they are having too much fun.

the only way to strike back at them at that point is to ff at 20 and put an end to their fun.

I hate posts like this. Reminds me of the quinn adc I had a few games ago who fed 8 kills in lane while everyone else was positive and then declared it wasn't winnable and afk'd. You don't decide when the game is over.

Also, there's no dignity in a forfeit. That's flat out admitting that the other team is better than you and there's no way you can possibly bring it back, because they're way too good. It's far more dignified to go down swinging, like a champ.

What you should wonder instead why you think your opinion weighs more than the ones of the other 4 people in your team.

Any chance your team had to win is thrown out of the window because you, after your failed big LCS play, decided that the game "was over" and began dicking around.
