whenever I get done using a self checkout at some store I feel like I'm walking out with the craziest look on my face like I'm trying to steal something, and the harder I try to look normal, the worse it probably gets. I'm sure it doesn't help that I refuse to make eye contact with anyone and stare at the floor afterwards too.

If I'm wearing a hood, I always take it off so I don't look like some hoodlum trying to conceal his identity but tbh I'm probably better off keeping it up so people have a harder time seeing that crazy look on my face.

You shouldn't use self checkout if you want cashiers to keep their jobs in the future

Even if that is so, I'd rather keep them employed rather than on welfare. You're paying taxes for their welfare. 4 machines can be overseen by only one person whereas we can give 4 cashiers a job instead.
