Gifting Friends

So a (so-called friend) and I decided to gift one another. I would gift him Kalista in exchange for a mystery gift. Knowing how I am I didn't think he would gift me but keeping my promise I gifted him both. Soon after I noticed we were no longer friends. League should make it were if a friend is gifted and within 48 hours if the gifted friend unfriend's the person then the gift becomes invalid. The whole point of gifting a friend is to gift a friend and if that person unfriend's you and is no longer your friend then there's no gift.

I'm sorry for your unfortunate experience and this might sound a little harsh, but such is life and be mindful of what kind of people you consider friends next time. This person is borderline scamming and I don't agree with his action at all, but I don't think your proposed solution would have helped. They can just not log in for 2 days and then remove you after. It's a lost cause the moment you sent that gift.
