When someone says "I main X champion in Y role"

When you're in champion select for a ranked game do you ever hear I main X champion in Y Role? Say your 2nd or 3rd pick in a ranked game and neither side has picked a top laner, and you really don't want to play bot lane, But 4th pick says "i main X champion in Y role" in this case: Y = Top lane and X = Garen Teemo Almost by instinct I go take top lane.... But when they say something else like "I main top lane or top plz", Without Mentioning a champion id let them have it or if they mention META CHAMPIONS example: Y = Jungle and X = Sejuani Gragas What do you do in this situation do you let them have their role and play bot lane?

Pick order... Do whatever you want. But I wouldn't take the role based on the fact that you don't like the champ they play. Non meta picks sometimes work.

you look up there record on na.op.gg if its good you let them have it, otherwise take it
