Is Dota better then League?

I'm not going to go onto any side here because i like both games equally. I am just saying to you people out there who are fighting on which game is better, Stop! Its everyone's opinion! Like Battlefield over Black Ops. Both are popular(?) but some people prefer other games over a a different one.In t his case LoL vs Dota Just you guys out there its not gonna matter which one is better, its not gonna make a difference. Sure maybe it would make that game seem for popular but there are other people who think differently. Just keep this in mind does it really matter that much? There are ups and downs of both these games. Its not something we all need to fight about right? So don't start fighting over these and just say "this is my opinion and this is your opinion neither of us is right."

Talking about which game in a specific genre is better is like talking politics; it is bound to rouse the passions that are deep within your audience. Proceed with caution, razonblay.

While I will state that I prefer League for a variety of reason, I am not about to start a discussion as to which one is better.

To all: I'm not saying which one is better i am just saying that a lot of people fight of which one is better but everyone has their own opinion. I am just stating that. (recently a friend of mine got in a fight about dota vs league)

Personally i prefer league but i would give dota 2 a chance again if i where to play it again, Played it for about 2 days and found the lack of feedback from skills and no windups annoying and the fact that items act as a counterbalance to some skills sets and heroes just seems really sloppy.Maybe its just me also really like how the item system in league is compared to dota(actives everywhere) on the other hand dota 2 has amazing quality and voice acting all the spell effects and detail is nice its a shame that it just doesn't feel nice to play it.

Riot is spot on with their design philosophy. Dota2 is pretty but the play just doesn't click. It's hard to see what's going on because it's so detailed and cluttered. That's not to say it's impossible I just think the stylized look of League is better for a competitive game because you can see what's happening and that adds a lot of depth to the choices we make in game.

Dota2 just lacks a lot of the appropriate counter play. Plus the denial mechanic in Dota2 is actually a determinant to the game I think. With League it takes more skill and finesse to deny your opponents where as in Dota2 it's mostly a game of chicken; This is because you can at all times get taken from full health to zero. There's just no real counter play and that makes it an unsatisfying experience.

I've only played 30 minutes of DoTA 2 in my life, but my first impression is that League is more exciting and based on mechanics and quick reactions/plays, while DoTA is based a lot more in executing strategies (more like an RTS, I think).

So basically, League is more fun for me and based in action and fighting, while DoTA is better if you want to execute careful strategies.
