Should I re-roll for a random champion?

I have shards for Aurelion Sol, Kennen, and Xerath right now. I can disenchant aurelion + kennen to unlock xerath, or aurelion + xerath for kennen. (I can't unlock Aurelion.) The thing is, I'm just not that enthusiastic about those champions, since I've heard that they're not so great. I'm low-level, but willing to pour the time into learning a harder champion; however, I'm worried that the champion will end up being under-whelming and I'll regret unlocking them and spending time playing as them. So, should I unlock one of them? Or should I re-roll? I just really don't want to get a 450 champion, because that would suck.

For some extra info: I always thought I would enjoy playing an agile, bursty mage; but it turns out I like to be kind of tanky, too, because I hate being squishy. I ended up maining poppy, because her W makes her more agile, and you can build her really tanky. I have no idea if kennen or xerath would be a good fit for me.

ANY input would be greatly appreciated, even if you say something short like 'don't get kennen,' or 'just re-roll.' I'm really stuck here :(

At lv11, you are not "maining" anything yet and have not experienced the actual game in any way (stuff is really, really bizarre down there). Chances are your experience of the game (and playstyle) will change by the time you hit 30, and after that.

There are not really any bad champions, especially at lower ranks where small balance issues matter less, some just have higher skill ceilings and floors.

Kennen is basically the definition of a fast, burst-oriented mage, and incredibly annoying as a bonus. He does not use mana, which is especially nice for new players. Xerath is good, but punishes bad positioning due to his low mobility. Aurelion is similar, he has a minimum range to be able to do damage and very strange and difficult mechanics, which makes people underestimate him. Random reroll is pretty useless.

(How did you get 3 shards at lv11? Are you buying chests? <_<)

I really like Xerath, but he's not the best fit for those looking to be tanky or agile. He does best from positioning further away. Plenty of burst though, and the exceptional range makes him pretty nice all around.

I would suggest you try another shard and see what you get. 4 shard is total 6800 IP anyway, so you might as well get one more 1700 hextech coin

and see what you get

best case: Something you like, unlock by disenchanting your other shards Worse case: Not something you like, disenchant and unlock aurelion sol
