Ranked Matchmaking is broken.

So, I recently queued up to play some ranked. I'm currently Silver 5, on a 9 to 10 game win streak. As I pull up Lol Nexus, I notice that the entire team is all Silver 4. My team consists of, me (Silver 5), a Silver 3, a Bronze 1, and two unranked profiles. Now these weren't just unranked profiles. But they were also unranked last season. According to Lol Nexus, they only had 4 ranked games top under their belts.

Now please, oh please tell me why that is fair. By some miracle, our MMR was even higher than the other teams. How does that even happen?? Needless to say we lost because these two clearly didn't know what they were doing. I just don't understand why games have to become so unbalanced.

Has anyone else had this problem before?

Also, let me know if the screenshot of the LolNexus page doesn't work correctly.

Well new player MMR is considered on level of silver 2-3, meaning if u are silver 4 and lower, you are considered less skilled than new lvl 30 player. So its pretty equal matchmaking.

Because mid silver is considered starting point. It doesnt award anything by itself and its a good starting point for advancing. Silver ranked players are generally low to no skill players who have some potential to climb. Everything under are low to no skilled players who shown no potential and most have little to no hope of climbing. Simply casual ranked players.

Doesn't make sense all my friends and I got placed in bronze 5 this season and I climbed out to s3 so far almost s2. Also when I played my placements it was mostly unranked and maybe a bronze here and there and the casual silver as well. By your logic my friends and I should have never made it out. I think its just the system every now and then gives bad match making .

Why is mid silver starting point if when I got 6/10 wins in placements I got placed in Bronze 2?
