Ranked Matchmaking is broken.

So, I recently queued up to play some ranked. I'm currently Silver 5, on a 9 to 10 game win streak. As I pull up Lol Nexus, I notice that the entire team is all Silver 4. My team consists of, me (Silver 5), a Silver 3, a Bronze 1, and two unranked profiles. Now these weren't just unranked profiles. But they were also unranked last season. According to Lol Nexus, they only had 4 ranked games top under their belts.

Now please, oh please tell me why that is fair. By some miracle, our MMR was even higher than the other teams. How does that even happen?? Needless to say we lost because these two clearly didn't know what they were doing. I just don't understand why games have to become so unbalanced.

Has anyone else had this problem before?
