I can't play this game anymore.

I work as a full time Firefighter/EMT - full time meaning I respond on and off duty, 24/7. League of Legends has been my favorite game to play ever since season 1. When there's a motor vehicle crash or a fire, or just an old lady that fell late at night - I'm going to quit in the middle of a game if I have to, every time.

The fact that, in normal mode games, there can't be a system where it doesn't punish you so harshly for leaving is bull shit (which I'm sure has already been discussed plenty - but my favorite idea was always that someone queues up and has the option of hopping into the champion that you left).

I wrote this post because I'm angry, obviously. But I'll continue to make new accounts if I have to to keep playing and keep leaving when I need to - even if that means abandoning my diamond account which I played long hours for to get nearly every champion.

Why is Riot going the way of punishing leavers and not finding a way to make it so that leavers aren't as big of a deal in normal modes?

Understand it from my side. I'm trying to play a normal game to unwind from the day. The game immediately takes a turn for the worst because you left during the middle of the match. The reason doesn't matter, but the game is therefore exceedingly difficult, if not impossible to win. Do you really think it's fair to others to constantly leave matches and expect not to be caught out for it?

Sure. Especially because of the time commitment - you're guaranteed to be :stuck: playing a downright crappy game for at least 20 minutes.

But, LoL being a heavily community inspired game, I'm curious why there wasn't something to actually combat the affect leavers have implemented into the game. Why not a queue option or just, while you're in queue, a "hey these are some games that have a leaver in them are any of them roles you'd like to play?" That seems to be an obvious fix.

Frankly, however, I have a hard time feeling bad for others when I feel like I'm getting shafted so hard myself. I know I can't help the nature of my job, and while I'd like for that to be fair on others, I still don't want to quit playing one of my favorite 'social' games with my friends.
