Why Leaverbuster is stupid as hell and should not even exist

So let me guess you've been hit by Leaverbuster because you leave games, afk, ragequit, have isp issues, can't commit enough time to actually play teh game, your chores interefere etc. Well that's unfortunate for you because mos tof the community never even knows Leaverbuster exists because they don't get hit by it.

I've had isp issues, the dreaded firewall error, power outages, dealing with my sons including when they were injured etc and I've been playing since S1 and never ever gotten so much as a warning let alone a ban because those things don't happen often enough to have used up the built in leniency the system provides.

Bottom line Leaverbuster isn't stupid and it not only does exist and will continue to do so since this is Riot's game and they've set it up to be lenient for the occasional real life emergencies that happen. The only ones that don't like it ar ethose that continually get hit by it because they can't or won't fix the issues causing them to get penalized by it.

I didnt have too much of a problem with leaverbuster. But I play League at my college and one day the internet decided to continuously cut out while I was playing as a 4 man with my friends so repeatedly throughout the game all 4 of us kept disconnecting. We still won so it wasn't that big of a deal. A few days later I play a game where the internet cut out again and I was gone from my game for an entire 2 minutes. We lost but my disconnecting was far from the reason why. I got the LeaverBuster warning after this.

Idk why the internet was so bad though, 99% of the time it is fine.

I definitely agree i fucking hate leaver buster. Sometimes my wifi router gets "hiccups" and im afk for 5 mins. Then I get this stupid, absolute shittest message called leaver buster and now im in low priority queue. Riot shit.

Yep I agree this leaverbuster thing just makes players quit the game, since you have to play 10 games until you get into the better queue. Me and my friends were playing LoL, when all of a sudden we were forced to get off, and that was repeated 10 times, so...

Riot don't understand that people people don't intentionally go AFK at the start of a game... the only reason players go afk is if they rage quit... and that requires them to be in the game first. This new client is so buggy and irritating bug-splatting every other game, it doesn't help that instead of fixing it Riot blame the players and penalise them for going AFK. THINK RIOT.

If you're just going to complain and not bring up any solutions to the table then your words are pointless and just make things worse. I used to play off my ol' ladys T-Mobile Hotspot app and would run an average of 120 ping along with multiple, sometimes very drawn out disconnections and the frame would idle for minutes at times only moving briefly when it does try to catch up. So needless to say every time leaverbuster hits me anymore I get 20 minute waits for 5 que's. Even though I've gotten a real ISP since then there are of course times when I have to take care of something for a minute mid-game since I've got a 7, 2 and 0 year old and who knows wtf they're gonna get into during my games. Wish they would reduce the amount of time you have to wait before a game if you've gone for awhile without afk. Now to the point of my comment, and this has happened to me a few times. So I'll wait 20 minutes for the queue to actually start ticking and one of the following may happen: There's a tiny slot of time when the internet dc's but I get reconnected fast enough for no error to pop up so queue starts after the 20 and then after being in queue for a little bit a disconnection error popup will cancel my queue and I have to start all over. Or I can make it into the game and then some synchronization of buttons clicked will cause an error and the client will close and I get to start all over again and once when this happened it even reset my low priority queue number of matches left to complete. Point being, it's a real bummer when you've waited and all of a sudden some error or some small frame of time the internet dc's and causes an error at the end of the wait. Maybe Riot could look into solidifying a players queue once they've waited the 1-5-10-15-20 minutes?

Waiting for cs go punishments to be implemented. 2 games = 30 mins, every one after that is 1 hr, 12hr, 1 day, 7 day, 1 month.

I've quit multiple times due to the leaver buster. People have lifes and things happen. When your game is based around not being able to fill the hole that leavers leave, that's the issue, not the players. You can not expect people to be 100% all the time, and punishing them in any way for not being is a very flawed and pathetic philosophy. In that case, I expect Riot to be 100% all the time. Oh wait, we all know how that works out. Huh. Bet you if Riot could be punished for the same behavior it'd be a different story. Sad right? Corporate Earth though. Won't mean shit eventually and you can trust me on that
