Do you play LoL with your family?

Do you have a family member that also plays League of Legends? For me, I was always able to play with my brothers! We competed on a team together at one point, but we were always competing with each other. I always wanted to be better than both of them.. but one day.. one of their faces popped up in my League of Legends client :(

https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xfa1/t31.0-8/10286729_10202850736568005_2920842890614284878_o.jpg

And then he started popping up… on my Fantasy LCS teams. Other Rioters didn’t know if it was BM for them to draft him away from me (lol).

**I want to hear your stories about your family and LoL! **League of Legends brought my family together to be closer than ever; we even attended Season 3 World Championships together (unfortunately for Hai, as a spectator) and met up at Season 4 World Championships (when his hair was a weird color).

Yep! My wife got me into LoL, and we still play together once in a while. Though she's much more into Twisted Treeline and Dominion than I am, but we still have a good time playing.

My son plays with me, and he's positively addicted to buying every new champ that comes out (and as many skins as I'll let him when I buy him RP). My daughter plays too, even though she doesn't really "get" the game. She loves to play support champs in customs, and has a blast in ARAMs as long as she can play Nidalee.

League (and gaming in general) is very much a family thing for us. We play together, we watch LCS together, we named many of our pet rats after League of Legends characters. So yeah, we're all in.

do you not ever play with Hai because I think he probably could help you

I play with my brother a lot, and it turns out I'm a terrible backseat player. I need to learn to focus more on my gameplay and not his. He's very tolerant of it though. Of course, as the older sibling, I'm naturally the better player, so it's not like I'm giving bad advice. That's clearly how it works. just ask any older sibling.

My little sister expatriated to Canada and lives in Vancouver now. I only see her about once every other year. But at some point in time while I wasn't looking her polite "I will play LoL with you every now and then to be social" turned into "I'm completed addicted to LoL and Jungle Elise is my spirit animal". We never really got along playing video games together as kids, but now its a lot of fun and a great way to connect! Weirdly enough, we don't even argue when playing League together. We must have grown as people or something.

My sister and I grew up playing console games together, so it's not surprising that we play a lot of League to stay in touch (she lives on the other side of the country). I main AD and she's a support main, so we go bot lane together. She's my favorite person to duo bot with (because she's a badass support and because of her positive attitude), especially when she plays an unconventional support, like Heimerdinger or Lissandra.

I love playing with my sister.

My step brother got me into league, At first I wasn't into it very much. I came back to it this May, now I can't get away from it..... Even though we live 6 hours away from each other, we still play on a daily basis. League keeps me in touch with my best friends too!

My cousin and I used to hate each other, haha. A lot. Like, we'd bicker about everything and it was mainly because we were so different from each other. We didn't share a single interest until I introduced her to League of Legends. I started playing earlier sometime last year and told her to check it out. At first, she was reluctant, what with the whole bickering cousin ordeal. But she took a liking to it and now, whenever we talk, it's about League. We don't fight anywhere near as much and we play at least one or two games a week. :D

I play with my hubby and sister almost every night! She's lives on the east coast, so it's a great excuse to keep in touch and catch up!

My brother and I have used video games as a way to "hang out" when we lived in different cities, but it's always been console games. I begged him to try League for about a year before he gave in. Then BOOM, he was addicted :) It's been fun to play a game that requires so much coordination, and be able to teach him tips and tricks about the different champs. And of course, he has his own... unique... strategies as well. So fun!

I have three cousins that I play with consistently. Along with them, a buddy of mine talked me into playing, and honestly I think it has helped us become closer family members. They are all three boys, around my age but mostly a little younger, I am mostly a stay at home mom, therefore it has given us a common factor to talk about and have fun with, reminds me of us all being small kids and playing make believe in tree houses, or pretending to be Pokemon trainers, before we weren't all completely different and leading very different lives.

I have two brothers who are basically 90% of the reason I gave LoL a try. My little brother claims that I'm better than him (I'm in bronze atm, he's in silver) and my older brother is an ARAM only player. I mean... I like arams, but my older brother has no patience at all, and plays less than me.

My brother just got into LoL and I'm teaching him a lot, but he's almost able to play ranked. The funny thing is, he's quite a bit older than me, haha.

I play with my brother. He mostly play top and I mainly play mid. He plays a lot of Rumble, so I get to choose ad mids like Zed. We both try and model ourselves after C9's players, so your bro has had a great influence on my play style.

My brother, dad, sister and I all play league! We vary in skill level a lot, but we still play normals (and occasional ai games for my sister) together. It's fun to be able to talk about the pro scene or patch notes with the person in the next rooms over. My mom has even started to know and recognize champions and pro players/teams just from listening to us

I finally convinced my brother to download league where going to start playing together!

I play with my brother and my dad, but my dad doesn't play much anymore. We play a lot of GTA V and TF2 together now.

Hey I also play with my brothers. They got me into it and often help me out since I'm a noob.

My younger brother isn't that big of a gamer, but he will watch anime with me :) .. My older brother is a HUGE gamer, but MOBAs are not his thing, so I have to play other games with him instead, like Super Smash Bros (which I always beat him at lol)... However, some of my friends I met on other games I have played also play league and so I play with them a lot. I've known them 6-10 years, so they are kind of like family : ) lol

I play with my dad. Since I graduated from college a few years back, it's nice to have something we can do online--we always used to play StarCraft when I lived at home. He has trouble keeping track of his abilities, and he does sometimes lose custom games to the bots, but he doesn't let that deter him. His persistence is rather inspiring, in fact.

My dear dog, Atra, gives me sound advice as I play: stay calm and pet the dog. Other times he watches beside me, and I am pretty sure he is wondering why I fed when he, had positions been reversed, would have warded. Hope this helps. :)

My brother initially got me into LoL. We have been gamers for our entire lives but he managed to find it before I did. He lives 1100 miles away and our ARAM games are probably the most fun we have among all the other games we play through the distance. We are trying to get our other 3 brothers into it, but they're KINDA lame.

Imperial Japan1/15/2015, 3:48:20 AM1 votes

I play with my brother, before we barely even ever communicated but now, we actually play next to each other and sometimes talk. We play minecraft too but i think league actually brought us kinda together. Hes in gold and im in bronze (which i think i improved to silver ish level) anyways, say hi to Hai for me and tell him to notice me? (Ples Senpai) Also me and tons of my friends play too like FazeMySkill XeroWisdom and others (BB2za). And im that one RocketKitten sitting in the corner wanting to play for fun but if we're not winning they get serious cus they want to be pros or whatnot (still in silver tho) (except for BB2za, hes not really as serious as my other friends)

My little bros and I play. Actually, they're the ones that got me into League (which at first I thought was a stupid game, but I'm fairly dumb when it comes to PC games so what do I know lol?). The first champ they had me play?

... Teemo. ;)

Also, Riot Bao, what was your reaction when Hai attempted that sneaky Zed splitpush? I was laughing out loud! xD
