Magma Chamber Delayed

So if you're like me, and have OCD for getting league news as fast as possible, you would know that Magma Chamber (from last year's All-Star game) has been halted. The reasoning for this was the fact that after the first week of Snowdown, "players only spent 1% of their time playing Showdown." This seemingly makes sense, but at the same time, the length of a game on Howling Abyss that's first to one kill is much shorter than the common 40ish minute games on Summoner's Rift. So technically, although 1% TIME was spent, the actual number of games was 10 times higher than the presumed 1% (considering the 5 vs 40 minute game time logic). I don't know the actual numbers, but I can guarantee that even when One For All was out, it was still played much less than Summoner's Rift, just for the sole purpose that most people still want to play ranked, ARAM, Dominion, Twisted Treeline, and Bots combined. So even though a vast minority plays featured game modes, there's still a very large crowd that's disappointed that we won't get a new 1v1/2v2 game mode in the near future. Still waiting on details for new skins/champion soon, and those might cheer me up.

I personally spent 85% of my league time playing showdown with my friend, cause we were kinda fighting over who was better. (I won 4/5 games btw)

That is a good point glad you figured that out

Why don't they put one for all game mode in the Magma Chamber map? It doesn't have to be just for 1v1/2v2 and I think the game mode is much more suited for that kind of map since is smaller than Summoners rift where everyone was too far apart.

i liked the showdown, but hated how everything ended too fast after x5 times that time from loading the game, snowdown shodown and one for all should have been done right.

How? snowdown showdown: win 2 of 3, 3 of 5 consecutive matches (so no loadings, and better time to understand the enemy, counter builds) one for all: magma chamber map with a regenerative tower (so it will not end in less than 5 minutes like what they did with snowdown) or good old twisted treeline map for more crazy ganks (it would have balanced poke teams with close ranged)

about the data, just as sivhd said: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfLYZ7uI7Yo

1% of total time, each match had 2 or 4 players and a regular match has 10 players. If you sum up the queue time, normal plays would have been increased by how much.. 5%? (2 mins against 40 mins) but Snowdown would have been increased by 100% (that howling abyss loading)

Even that, i dont see a way to increase your one on one combat skills, until snowdown, one guy who i fought told me "it helps me to improve my farm", i do suck at farming thats why im support (jk) a friend of mine is so good at lines but suck in map tactical awarenes in wich i consider myself superior to him so we end up in constant conflict about "you should have go there..." "there wasnt time bitch" "oh you didnt...", i see how much riot is worried about being THE e-sport but i actually don't see actual support on helping develop athletes besides things that are actually inside the moba game.

long post lol... what do you think?
