Mainly quit because i'm a free2play player and refuse to spend money. It seemed boring with the free rotation of heroes and I quit. Now I have a friend that plays and he wanted me to install and play with him. I told him I was tired of having nothing or less than my opponents who had maxed out runes, etc. Why should I start playing now? Did they fix the rune system where I'll be playing without a disadvantage? or do runes still give advantages to those who buy them....
~... Except you can only buy runes with the earned currency (IP). Especially since they now cost 1 IP a piece...
And you can buy champions with IP through grinding.
Why aren't you buy them (runes mostly) again?~
Edit: Oh never mind, They haven't implemented it yet, or they retracted the fix, I dunno. I remember seeing something about tier 1 and 2 runes being reduced to 1 IP Still doesn't change the fact that they are free (as in, you dont spend RP on them).
TBH the game is frustrating and almost unfun right now. I don't want to turn you away but I don't wanna lie either. Runes are still a thing and they can certainly give you an advantage. New masteries also give others and advantage if you aren't level 30.
If you see a champ you like go for it but ranked can be a sh1t storm some times.
Uh, runes and mastery's are free 100%, sure you have to grind to get runes, BUT SO DOES EVERYBODY ELSE IN THE ENTIRE GAME, and yes, leveling will suck till you hit level 30, because you will go against people with keystones, and runes, but i suggest saving every ounce of your IP until you are level 30.
Don't bother buying any lower level runes, they are pointless and will be replaced.
Just remember the only thing that costs money in this game, is skins, and they have no game effect at all, they just look cool. Everybody has to go through the level 30 grind, everybody knows the pain.
Not very happy with this game. Horribly unbalanced bullshit match making. Always pitting me against level 30's and there's no balancing teams at all. It's just always surrender surrender surrender... I'm going back to HOTS.

Sure, some players will have advantages over you until you can fill out a rune page and hit L30 and etc. Not sure why you think its the end of the world.
Go play bots until you grind enough IP to feel like its a "fair" match up or something.
