Retiring from League. Thanks RIOT!
Hello everyone,
As the title says, I am stopping with league of legends. It has been fun but I'm done.
I just wanted to let everyone, including RIOT, know that you made this game awesome.
Important! I'll now share my feelings and personal view of League of Legends through the years. If you don't want to read this scroll down to the part that says "In conclusion".
I had a great experience, also some ups and downs, but overall a good time. I remember being new to this game and genre. The way I was introduced to this game and embraced by the community was just simply amazing. As I progressed in the game I was noticing that League of Legends is really thriven by the community. And thus giving this game what it needs, but also what this game doesn't need (like removing graves' cigar). I leveled up and wanted to be level 30 so I could play ranked, and I loved how I reached level 30. But soon after I realized that people who play ranked have an other attitude than normals. And soon after that I just quit ranked. I haven't played ranked a lot.... I just hated the way people treated each other.
Eventually I decided to take a break.
After this break of 2 months I would start playing again, only to find the feeling I once had to be gone. It wasn't fun anymore, I guess I had seen it all.... That kind of feeling. Nothing wrong with the game, but more with me. I just had 2 fun games out of 10. I didn't care if I won or lost, as long as I was having fun....but I wasn't. I figured that every game that I wasn't having fun, was time lost. Because really, League of Legends takes a lot of your time. And soon I found myself logging on figuring if I should play, only to find myself cancel the matchmaking or just go offline.
Two weeks long I did this until I realized it was over. League of Legends isn't my game anymore.
In conclusion : Thanks everyone for your wonderfull input in this game. Thanks for being my teamplayer and enemy. For making me laugh and rage. For making me love and hate. This game helped me big time in recovering from my personal issues, and it gave me memories I'll never forget. I'll will logon on the site to stay active in the community, as for the the game... I'm uninstalling it as I write this thread.
