More story development not only for champions but for items as well

Are there any plans for the future to expand the background for some items in the game and how they came to be exacly. One I'm personally interested in is Tear of the Godess. I know there are backgrounds for some items already. Maybe the backgrounds of items are already explained and I dont know where to look for it.

Also the altars on twisted treeline. Who were those two. Why is one good and the other evil?
