Help! Internet other than Comcast???

I just moved to Seaside, CA and it turns out that I can't get comcast in my area... soooo I have a bunch of fiber optic/dial up choices. Yay. -.- Can anyone give me some good guidance so I don't have major lag issues?

What are your options? Chances are pretty low people on the boards know what the ISP's in Seaside CA are off the top of their head, but pretty decent that they've had experience with that ISP somewhere else.

ATT, Verizon, Red Shift, UPlink, Direct TV, Monterey Bay, Got.net , Central Coast satellite, Charter communications. Are the options I've found

Don't go with a satellite internet provider unless the only games you play online are turn based.
Similarly, don't trust any service which doesn't run some sort of wire to your house. An all wireless system is more likely to give you a bad connection, something that's not ideal for gaming.
Charter will be the most comparable to Comcast, since they both rely on cable.

Other than that, Red Shift and Got.net seem very slow. I couldn't find info on UPlink or Monterey Bay.

TL;DR: If it was me, I'd go with Charter.
