I think I played with automated bots before

So a few months back, I was playing dominion game, and everybody on my team didn't communicate. When the game loaded, the only people who really chatted was me and the enemy Katarina. The other 8 players, who didn't chat, played abnormally. They would literally go from point to point, capturing them, and when their channel was interrupted, would continue to capture the point until they died. They didn't even touch each other, they would only attack me with basic attacks. So I ended up getting around 20 kills, with a few deaths from the enemy Katarina. After the game, which I lost, I rolled over everybody's name with my cursor, and each of them, with the exception of Katarina, had won over 200-400 dominion games, all level 30 of course. Were their accounts bot automated to get ip? I was just curious because they played unlike a normal player would.

Edit: I decided to look further into this, and determined that they were in fact bots.
