Dominate Dominion-The Final Battle

With Riot releasing the recent news stating they will be removing Dominion, I thought it was only fitting to bring Dominate Dominion back one last time! We are going way back to our roots and bringing back our original casters, the one and only William Chobra and Gandair!

Server: North America

Time: Saturday Feb. 20th at 5 PM Central.

Bracket Size: 32 Teams

  • 1200 Riot Points Each

  • 4 Win IP Boost

Third Place

  • 800 Riot Points Each
  • 5 MOBAFire Stickers
  • 4 Win IP Boost

Fourth Place

  • 400 Riot Points Each
  • 4 Win IP Boost

This tournament does require a full team, but if you're actively looking, I'd suggest joining the League of Legends in game chat room "DominateDominion" on the NA server.

Hey, come on, don't be mean. It's not like individual Rioters can't be sympathetic. Plus, L4T3NCY said he's going to be watching, so he's at least legitimately interested.

But it would be their screen names not their personal name, correct? How do you know all of his screen names? That is what I meant. I understand you are upset. I found Dominion too late, but I enjoyed it more than any other game mode Riot offers. I hope they will make another mode similar to Dominion's playstyle.

L4T3NCY has always expressed a love for dominion... one rioter =/= all of riot. If you want a better idea of how dominion would have panned out had Riot invested all their resources into, I suggest you check out a game called Infinite Crisis. It was pretty much dominion refined into its own Moba. It's dead now, barely ever made a blip in the gaming scene

The obvious counter-argument is that perhaps if Riot had done things like this in the past, these might not have been the final Dominion tournaments.

Sadly, this is true. They use to do lots of tournaments in Season 3 (where I began).

right? imagine if they had advertised any of the many others hosted by Feedski in the past few years. maybe even been nice enough to host the stream on the official LoL twitch if nothing else was being broadcast at the time.

For those that don't know; Every time I read Moobeat's PBE notes about Dominion, this guy's name almost surely popped up. Not sure if he was solo balancing Dominion for quite some time, but it sure looked that way. In terms of buffs and nerfs to champs, and some system adjustments such as the soul anchor trinket. ManWolf, you did your best for Dominion and that was greatly appreciated. Now we're seeing you move on to bigger things: Urgot

To clarify, Nome was the first guy in charge of alternate maps (TT/Dom/ARAM). ManWolfAxeBoss took over when Nome later moved over to work on gameplay clarity. Not sure who's taking over now though, since MWAB seems to be on the SR Balance team nowadays.

In case anyone wants to attend but already has plans for Saturday, there's one last Dominion tournament scheduled for Sunday, hosted by Reverie Esports. Better yet, come out for both of them!

Knowing the Dominion players, you'll have plenty of time. If they are anything like they were the past 100 tournaments, they will register on the last day. :P

And this EUW tourny is on Sunday, it has some of the better teams than the CA event, but it also doesn't allow for solo players to register, meaning you would need to find a team. Its somewhere in the listings of tournaments

Jhin is too vulnerable in Dominion, and Heimer is more annoying than useful. A nice syndra will clear his turrets in a simple combo.
