Are Leagues Champions Overpriced?

Recently I decided to go through the numbers on the prices per champion, and was wondering why are us players paying SO much for all these characters. Below are the listed prices of all the champions of a priced category added together.

IP: 450 IP champs = 5400 1350 IP champs = 29700 3150 IP champs = 75600 4800 IP champs = 187200 6300 IP champs = 201600

499500 IP for every champion in league.

RP: 260 RP champs = 3120 585 RP champs = 12870 790 RP champs = 18960 880 RP champs = 34320 975 RP champs = 31800

101,070 RP for every champion AKA: $673.80 (Buying the max "$100" RP Offer)

With another champion right around the corner, what do you guys think? Are champions a little Overpriced? My personal answer is Yes. How could RIOT games change these prices to make them more balanced for the players? Leave comments below on what you think.

First ... you normaly don't need ALL champions

second .... I play since ... IIRC season 2 ... had about 1,5 or 2 years break ... I bought a hand full of champs with rp - on sale - and I am missing exactly 11.

If you play "long enough" you just have the LP to buy them all.

i made a post about this a long time ago

given normal IP-earning rates, it takes a player between 20 and 35 gameplay hours (not counting time spent in queue) to earn 6300 IP, and something between 3500-4000 hours to earn enough IP to buy the entire cast of champions. it's fucking ridiculous.

then we factor in runes and rune pages...

Over priced. Riot needs to understand something. And good luck with that. They want sales, Money to improve the game and pocket. Cool. There a business. A cyber business. The in game champs and skins, aren't real but your money is. The internet and gaming. But if they want to make more money faster and not have post like this, lower the costs. Cheaper sales means more buys means more profit and again it is a cyber sale. Not a real product. Going a 100 mph vs 60 mph you still get to the same location around the same time. You heard about the rabbit and the turtle. Riot is the rabbit and the turtle who ever it maybe will win if they don't rethink there profits.

All I'm going to say is that I own a lot of champions (I don't own too many melee champions), and I am sitting on 160K+ IP right now. And that's with three recent name changes for shits and giggles.

Meh. If you want to get champs fast with RP you should by an IP boost. I haven't played for even a year yet but own over half the champs because of IP boosts. I still think that they should lower the prices to 3/4 of what they are now or lower the prices of champs that are old. Personally the only reason why I would care for them to lower the prices however is for it to be easier for me to make an alt account.
