Help! I don't want to become a heimerdinger main

Hi all, I really enjoy playing a variety of champs and roles and have enjoyed playing many champs and doing quite well with many of them. I picked up heimerdinger during a free week and noted how easy he was so I bought him and played him in normals whenever I didn't feel like trying too hard. However, I noticed my 80% win rate with him and decided to try him out in ranked. I started noticing how easy it was to win with him and have ~70% win rate with him. I spammed him a bunch just to climb. The problem is that I am approaching gold and notice that if I play any other champ, I can't stomp nearly as hard (something that I enjoyed about playing league). Either it's cause I'm in a higher division and everyone else is getting better or heimer is ruining my mechanics on other champs.

Tldr: should I stay at a lower division and play a variety of champs and climb slowly or should I rocket myself upward playing only heiemrdiger (a champ that isn't even my favorite to play)?

Most people will play a variety of champs for fun most of the year, and during the last month or two will switch over to try-hard mode and play 1-3 champs.

Its not being a jerk; it is stating a fact. Why is a s1 listening to a s5 about the path he should tread? At least he should consider that you have never traveled the path and you are completely talking from imagination and not experience.

When did it become being a jerk to state the facts? Your placement actually states your experience level.

It's being a jerk because it's negative, discourages conversation, and is unhelpful. Like your other post and this post too. If the mods actually read the rules, they'd delete those "omg shut up Bronzie" posts.

Actually it is quite helpful. It is important to realize where the advise is coming from. If this advice was so good why haven't you climb to a higher point? Why have you not abused the one champ system and gotten to plat +?

The reason for these things is cause it is bad advise. The OP is not going to get to plat abusing hiem and he is going to cap really soon. When that happens and he needs to switch champs he is going to crash and burn hard. He will not have a pool of champs to play and he is going to lose lose and then lose even more.

The fact of teh matter here is that the OP can not play other champs at gold level. He is abusing the ingorance of bronze and silver players to get ahead. At some point (gold to plat) the ignorance train is going to end and he will not be able to keep up with others and fall back down.

Just to clearify i never trashed you for your placement. I did state simple facts that you have 0 experence in this matter and that the OP is a higher elo (skill) than you. None of this was done by bad mouthing you. Rank is a matter of public record and you can be used against people in a productive matter. If your rank bothers you then you need to climb.

For a person named toxic you would think that you would know what being toxic means.

The only "fact" of the matter here is that you have absolutely no idea what will happen to him, and all you're doing is being discouraging for no reason other than to make yourself feel better.

I fail to see how rank has any bearing on his advice. Choosing to climb by spamming 1 champion from B5 to B1 is no different than choosing to climb by spamming 1 champ from Diamond 5 to Challenger. His advice accurate and very good.

Its your opinion that it is good advise. In my opinion it is questionable at best.

The fact of the matter is that the OP can not play other champs even close to the level he is playing at. He is abusing silver and bronze player inability to adapt to climb. At some point he is going to be punished cause he is abusing a high skill floor champ.

Good for him that he is punishing others, bad for him that he can not replicate it on other champs. At some point just being on a safe champ will back fire and he will stall out.

ok players can push when ahead, better players are the ones who know when they are behind and turn it around.

And how do you know that he is only climbing by abusing the mistakes of others? How do you know that his decision making and playstyle aren't simply more compatable with Heimer? Have you seen him play?

It is neither uncommon or unproven that playing and mastering one champ will help you climb much faster and higher than playing a variety of champs.

Hiem by the nature of the champ only abuses players actions. All you do is turtle and push. Either the enemy engages you and dies, retreats, or kills you. Their are almost 0 out plays out side of zhonas. It is a completely reactionary champ.

Actually it is proven that it hinder your game knowledge. You have a limited scope of the game and tend to do poorly when new and unusual situations come up. 1 hit wonders have gone into the LCS (NA and Eu )and failed hard cause they are 1 trick ponies.

When you are slowing pushing forward and not making the play but reacting to it you are 3rd rate

The higher you go you are going to find winning with hiemmer is going to get harder and harder. At some point your abuse of the high floor champ is going to back fire and you will cap out. Then you are going to be in a place where you can not handle other champs at that level.

You can hit gold with hiem, which is fine but you are going to quickly find that you are not going to achieve much more. do what you want.
