It has been 20 days since the Memes and Games rules were updated. It is time for my review!

And i have to say, I think the new rules are working extremely well. I was unsure about some of the changes, specifically removing posts targeted at specific people. After all, who doesn't like Morde posts targeted at Malicious Metal? But these last 20 days have removed all doubt in my mind that these new rules were for the best. Memes and Games is looking like its old self , and I have actually been enjoying spending time on the boards again. Below is my analysis of the individual changes.

#@ posts targeted at other Memes & Gamers This is the change that had me the most concerned. After all, I was one of the biggest posters involved in this, as both a recipient and as a poster. But this has effectively killed all talks of armies and factions in Memes and Games. Me having to make less posts about Malicious Metal is a small price to pay for that.

#Standalone RP/Contest submission posts Maybe I just missed them, but I almost never saw these before or after the changes. This one is not relevant to me.

#Custom Game Mode rules for use in League While these can be quite entertaining to read, they are far better suited for other subboards.

#Posts discussing Memes & Games as a whole Memes and Games is ultimately just a place to shitpost and laugh at weird things. People were making it more than it is, and I am glad it was brought back down to earth. I agree 100% with this rule.

#Gameplay posts This rule makes sense, although it can still be hard to tell where satirical game-play suggestions go. Some more clarity on this could be helpful, but isn't really necessary.

#Fan art posts Posting sexy fan art and then posting a gif of a drooling man doesn't make it a meme or a game. It is still fan art, and belongs with the rest of the fan art.
