Stereotypical noob question

Lately I have been enjoying enjoying playing mid with mage champions and I have decided I would like to get a new champion for this endeavor. However, this has presented me with a problem that I must now ask a question that I'm sure gets asked a lot. Which champion do I get?

My problem is that I can't seem to find a decent mid champion who has what I liked. All I need is 3 things: Range CC And at least one escape move (love ezreal e)

Am I asking for too much? Or am I just missing the obvious choice?

So many mid champions have those 3 elements. You really need to be more specific about your playstyle or our replies will be rather vague. Here's just a few that skims the surface of what you could include:

What do you mean by range? How much range? Can you give us a champion so we can have a visual example?
Do you consider slow as a cc? Like what about a champ with only a slow?
Any escape? Would you consider a champ like Morg with her E an escape? Or are you referring to an actual dash or "teleport".
Your playstyle: Aggressive, safe, rather farm, early, late game? etc
You rather single target or teamfights?
Are any champions to be taken into consideration? Some bruisers, along with assassins, mages can all go mid. Do you mean just an assassin?
Non-meta ok?

Lissandra though her range is a bit weird to get used to at first

Her claw is, though a bit slow, a very very good escape move, her entire kit is CC, (Q slows, w freezes them in place if they're near you, e is a claw that you teleport to depending on where you tell it to go, ulti is hard CC that can be self casted to save yourself or on an enemy) she's very safe and farms very well. She's CC heavy so she fits into a lot of comps so I would say Lissandra is someone you may enjoy.

I looked at Ahri and he is also interesting but idk how I feel about her mobility skill being her ultimate skill and so not available often. But I can certainly try her. Azir also seems interesting but hard. It would seem that he relies on his slow for his cc but he does have that ultimate of his.

Lissandra has all of these i dont play her but she is fun imo
