Best 1v1 champion on howling abyss

I have a tournament coming up with me and my friends and was wondering who currently are the best champions for 1v1 on the howling abyss and what summoners are probably the best to choose. Is it better to pick an AP champ or an AD champ? Thanks :D

The following champions are really effective in 1v1: Nunu, Darius, Nautilus (trust me, i tested it), Volibear (tested it too), Karma, Leblanc, Cho'gath, Mordekaiser too, Maybe elise.
