Vi and Caitlyn are partner right?

In the lore it says Vi and Caitlyn are partners, but they haven't talked about Caitlyn and Jinx. Is it just me or does anyone fine this weird?

Just because their partners doesn't mean Caitlyn is the leading authority on the case, nor does Jinx have a personal beef with her.

This is weird because Caitlyn is known to get rid of ALL CRIME in Piltover. Wouldn't she be able to track down and capture Jinx if she was too much of a problem?

I think they just associated Vi and Jinx because they have that similar punk theme more than anything else. It would have been neat to see a Vi/Caitlyn police report as a teaser, though.
